Twitch has banned its streamer Sliker: He was just having a risqué conversation with an AI girlfriend. That’s why it was initially thought that Twitch didn’t take it lightly and the 3-day ban was imposed. But later it turned out: Twitch banned him for another offense. He had posted an emote in the Twitch chat – he should have avoided that.
Who is Sliker?
- The Iraqi-British Twitch streamer “ItsSliker” had the dubious honor of being the most significant Twitch streamer who was not offered a partnership by Amazon. It was said that British Twitch wanted to prevent the controversial streamer from becoming a partner at all costs. Although he met the qualifications for partner status back in 2018, he only received it in 2020.
- Sliker has about 430,000 followers on Twitch; when he streams, it is mostly in Just Chatting. However, he also plays games like GTA, Valorant, or CS:GO.
- Although he is “relatively small”, Sliker is part of the nucleus of Twitch. He constantly stands out from the crowd with his actions. Sometimes he seems like a cursed person: once he was banned for watching an interview with Amouranth on Twitch, which was deemed “too risqué”. He was also banned from the GTA 5 roleplay server.
You can create a free AI girlfriend – but romance costs extra
What kind of AI did he use? Sliker had a risqué chat with an AI woman on Twitch:
- Through the site “replika.ai” you can create a “virtual friend”, choosing gender, skin color, and hairstyle
- The friend or girlfriend can be upgraded to a “romantic adventure” through microtransactions ($15), allowing video calls
- Overall, it strongly resembles “Black Mirror” and is quite creepy.
- Rae Grimm talked only to AIs for a weekend and almost lost her mind for GamePro
Sliker prompts the AI to make “difficult” statements
What did Sliker do? He had an AI in a video call engage in a risqué conversation and made his female AI girlfriend talk about her long best piece, which took Sliker by surprise, causing him to giggle.
Strange emote got him banned, not the AI conversation
What was the deal with the ban? Shortly after this scene, Sliker received a 3-day ban from Twitch. Sliker also stated that he was banned for “sexually explicit content”.
It was speculated on reddit that it must have been due to the conversation with the AI (via reddit), but Sliker then clarified: He was banned for 3 days because he had copied an emote in the chat that was deemed “ban-worthy”. The emote apparently depicted an anatomically impossible number of male genital organs.
Warning: For those who must see the image, we link it. However, it is clearly not safe for work (via imgur).
Someone typed the emote, he couldn’t see it, so he posted the emote in his own chat. That was probably a mistake.
With such emotes and images, Twitch really doesn’t have a sense of humor:
