The streamer Dimitri “Greekgodx” Antonatos (29) was banned on Twitch. He claims it is because he danced half-naked and showed his bare male chest. But in the same stream, he also expressed in a rant that his future wife would have to give up her career to cook for him.
Who is “Greekgodx?”
- The 29-year-old streamer lives in England, but has Greek roots. He started his career in 2011 on Twitch.
- He became known as the funny sidekick of the LoL-rager LoLTyler1. At that time, he weighed about 165 kilograms and had an average of 10,000 viewers. However, in 2018 he started a keto diet and lost a lot of weight.
- Tyler1 no longer streamed with him later on, because the fit Tyler1 no longer found the now muscular Greekgodx funny since he lost weight.
Greekgodx is strongly associated with his drastic weight loss between 2018 and 2019:
This is how things have gone for him recently: In recent years, Greekgodx has become known primarily as a controversial variety streamer.
However, last year he streamed 40% less and had 46% fewer average viewers than before. On Twitch, he now averages about 3,500 viewers.
Things are not going very well for him – however, many streamers faced similar issues in 2022: After the measures to contain the Corona pandemic eased, viewer numbers on Twitch fell for many.
Twitch bans often create a lot of discussion:
Twitch bans streamer for 3 days
What did he do now? Greekgodx was, according to his own statements, banned from Twitch for 72 hours (via twitter).
The ban came after a stream in which he explained how he imagines his future girlfriend for 55 seconds.
This goes out to all the women who want to date me, especially to female streamers. If you want to be with me: Your streaming career is over. I will stream while you cook and clean for me. You take care of the children while I earn all the money.
The Twitch streamer explained that he imagines his life this way: He earns money, the woman is in the kitchen, cooking, cleaning, and making sure “his home” is clean.
He needs this because streaming is taxing on his mind and soul.
You can see the streamer’s statements here; the clip is no longer available on Twitch:
Was he banned from Twitch for this? According to Greekgodx, it was not his statements that led to his 3-day ban.
He claims he was banned for a dance in which his chest was visible (via twitter).
He writes that he has been naughty.
“Lost weight – developed God complex”
How is this being discussed? Greekgodx is generally viewed critically by many, as he has also significantly changed his program since his dramatic weight loss. Recently, he attracted attention with anti-vaccine statements.
On social media, the comments say:
- “Greek has gone off the rails since he lost weight and developed a God complex. The guy really thinks he is better than everyone else.”
- “His views on women are really what pushed him over the edge. It’s even worse than Trainwrecks’ speech about women that led to his ban.”
- “The guy has gone off the rails after streaming with Tyler1 and after losing so much weight. His ego has gotten to his head.”
Streamer says he wakes up full of testosterone and women just want money and status
What does Greekgodx say about it? He says: He wakes up every morning full of testosterone and looks forward to facing the day.
Most women are only with streamers for their status and money.
For him, every day he wakes up is a gift. Apparently, he believes that without his weight loss he would now be dead.
Time and again, Twitch streamers face periods where they clash with Twitch’s rules even after long careers:
