The Twitch streamer Sara “ih3artpew” Heart was banned from the streaming platform for sexual content. However, she feels she is being punished for her body.
This is the streamer in question: Sara Heart describes herself as a “Variety Streamer.” Until her ban, she spent a lot of time in the “Just Chatting” category on Twitch, but she also enjoyed showing simulations like Star Citizen or Ultimate Fishing, a fishing game.
She had been streaming on Twitch since October 2021 and had amassed over 40,000 followers there. Sara is part of the Twitch Affiliate Program.
The streaming giant Twitch is often criticized for its banning policy. You can check out which bans have caused significant discussions here:
What is known about the ban: On August 22, Sara Heart announced via Twitter that she had been banned from Twitch for sexual content. She had been on stream for less than three minutes when the ban hit her.
Sara shared the email she received from Twitch. In it, the reason for the ban is stated as “sexually suggestive behavior.” Due to the severity of the violation or the fact that the streamer had already received several strikes, her access was suspended indefinitely.

What the ban means for the streamer: Since this is already Sara’s third ban, it resulted in an indefinite suspension. This means that the account will not be automatically restored after a certain period of time.
How can Sara get her account back? The only way out of an indefinite suspension is to successfully appeal. Whether the streamer will take this route is still uncertain. The number of bans has driven her to stream on other platforms.
Just last week, VTuber Shylily found herself in a similar position:

This was the trigger for the suspension: On Twitter, Sara also shared her streaming outfit, which is believed to have led to the ban. It was a rather low-cut checkered shirt. The streamer called for an explanation from Twitch about what is sexual about fishing in a long-sleeved shirt.
That’s why Sara finds the ban unjustified: Some users quickly pointed out that the cut was indeed too deep. However, Sara clarifies: Her stream was labeled as 18+, and moreover, the ban was due to sexual content. This differs from a ban for inappropriate clothing.
The streamer is fully aware that she would show a lot of cleavage. However, that’s hard to avoid with a large chest. Moreover, it had been very hot for her in Arizona. Sara also emphasizes that nothing was sexualized.
I don’t know if I’m expected to dress like a nun or never wear a tank top, but my game screen is usually larger than the cam. Except for the “4th of July” stream, which I did in a patriotic top and denim jacket, I usually dress quite modestly.

Sara feels punished for having large breasts. A similar suspicion was voiced by another streamer. She believed that trolls had reported her because of her figure.
What Sara says about Twitch: The streamer believes a Twitch moderator has it particularly in for her. She wishes for more communication from the platform and accuses it of being silent. (via Twitter)
Sexual content on Twitch regularly sparks discussions. The platform is based in the USA and apparently adheres to the moral standards there. Here, it may seem a bit prudish. Streamers – especially female streamers – constantly find creative ways to interpret the strict guidelines.
Thus, the infamous “Hot Tub” meta also emerged, which dominated Twitch for a while. A streamer skillfully exploited these gray areas and became incredibly successful:
