Twitch banned the streamer Adept after the public dispute between her and her ex-boyfriend, the star streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel, escalated again. xQc commented on the ban: he had nothing to do with it, but the ban was logical and a direct consequence of his ex-girlfriend’s actions. He accuses the 29-year-old of stealing 720 pictures from his smartphone and spreading private conversations on Twitch.
This is the ban:
- Twitch banned the 29-year-old streamer adeptthebest (421,000 followers) on October 4 at 3:57 AM last night.
- Twitch does not provide an official reason for the ban. They never do.
- But Adept herself also remains silent about the reason and length of the ban.
Relationship drama turns ugly and uglier one year after the split
This is the background: Adept was in a relationship with the streamer xQc for years, who rose to become the biggest Twitch streamer in the world in recent years, but had problems with stalkers and harassment.
But the relationship fell apart in 2022. xQc says he had to choose between her and his family at that time and chose the family.
The breakup became a public matter throughout 2022 and 2023 when Adept claimed she was married to xQc through a special arrangement in the state of Texas. xQc denied this.
There were allegations that Adept claimed xQc’s expensive sports car as her own. The dispute has recently become increasingly toxic: xQc began to publicly show himself with other women, expensive watches, and in a new apartment. He made critical remarks about his relationship with Adept.
Adept, on the other hand, mocked xQc and his luxury items, continually poking fun at him – sometimes more subtly, sometimes less, mostly less.
Despite the public animosity, both seem to have contact with each other repeatedly.
Adept accuses xQc of paying his mods for sex
What is Adept alleged to have done? Many believe that Adept has now been banned because she took action against xQc again.
As reported by the site Dexerto , Adept allegedly hinted in a series of Instagram posts that xQc paid his Twitch moderators for sexual favors. She warned that no one should lecture others about life decisions when he himself is donating thousands of US dollars to his mods for them to sleep with him. And under no circumstances should he discuss it with the mods on Discord.
Adept allegedly stole over 700 messages from xQc’s phone
According to further reports, Adept allegedly received the messages she showed “illegally” (via sportskeeda). It is said that xQc accused Adept of pulling 720 pictures from his phone, including Discord logs and smartphone logs.
Would that be grounds for a ban? Yes, Twitch’s rules allow such behavior to be punished with a ban. That could fall under harassment.
Moreover, Twitch could consider it illegal if Adept spreads stolen private documents on the platform. That could be a case of doxxing.
But Twitch’s statement on this is missing.
This is how xQc responds to the ban: xQc says he had nothing to do with the ban, it is a logical consequence of Adept’s behavior, which he describes as “malicious”: it is just what happens when you heat a pot of water to 150 degrees – it bubbles and overflows.
