The streaming platform Twitch has banned the streamer DrWitnesser for 7 days. He involved a young player in Fortnite in a discussion about religion and told him that if he died now, he would go to hell.
This is DrWitnesser: This is a Fortnite streamer with 53,643 followers on Twitch. He streams 6 days a week for about 3 hours, with an average of 528 viewers. However, he is a streamer on the rise and has been able to grow in recent weeks. The channel has only existed since March 30 (via sullygnome).
The streamer has set himself the goal of bringing “the word of God” to the players of the online shooter Fortnite.
This is the Twitch ban: The streamer was banned by Twitch on July 13 for 7 days. The reason is that he has repeatedly engaged in abusive behavior towards others. This falls into the broad category of harassment.
Twitch does not specify an exact incident as the reason for the ban.

The streamer asked the boy if he could really deny the hundreds of prophecies that had been fulfilled through Jesus. The short discussion ultimately ended with the sentence:

When he is criticized by the big Fortnite streamer Dakotaz for discussing such matters with children in “random groups in Fortnite,” DrWitness responds that Jesus said everyone should go out and preach to everyone, the little ones and the young ones. DrWitnesser says there is nothing wrong with talking to people about what is in the Bible. After all, that is a message of salvation. We have all sinned against God, the penalty for which is hell, and Jesus is the healing.
Others counter that he cannot force his views on others. This is against Twitch’s rules. Instilling fear in a young Muslim about having the wrong religion is also criticized.
This is what it is about: Especially with the lockdown due to Corona, the appeal of Twitch as an alternative platform for all sorts of professions and ideas is increasing. Many athletes and comedians like Kaya Yanar have now turned to Twitch or increased their presence there. Even Donald Trump uses Twitch as a channel. It seems logical that a preacher would seek a new field of activity here as well.
As Twitch continues to penetrate more areas of social life, it is often seen that much on Twitch is still “Wild West” and unregulated. The comedian Jan Böhmermann has sharply criticized this, he sees the danger that Twitch could become a breeding ground for right-wing extremist ideas.
