Félix “xQc” Lengyel is the biggest streamer on Twitch. But lately, he has not been having a good run. After problems in his house in Texas, he moved back to Canada. The relationship with his girlfriend Adept is over. And now, the next mysterious Twitch ban has come. This is now the fifth ban from Twitch. Fans are mocking and speculating about who he has upset this time: The Olympic Committee or rapper Kanye West?
This is what happened with xQc recently:
- The former Overwatch pro xQc has been the rising star on Twitch for 2 years. As “the rogue” who shoots when everyone else wants to play nice, he has achieved fame and success: The 25-year-old is a gifted entertainer and a notoriously bad loser. His fans love him.
- But recently, things have been tough for the Canadian: Because a man broke into his house and the situation became increasingly difficult, he moved back to Canada. Why was xQc banned this time? No one knows: xQc was banned on Saturday for 4 hours. But there was no specific violation of what happened. He himself is silent on Twitter about it.
The strange 4-hour suspension is again mysterious: This is not a regular ban duration on Twitch. It seems as if the suspension has to be lifted manually.

- On one hand, his streaming of “Olympics” – here xQc apparently received a copyright complaint. xQc believes he is totally in the right and announced a “lawsuit” that he allegedly wants to push through with his lawyer/manager
- a strange non-interaction with rapper Kanye West: xQc had played his new album “Donda” in the stream. He had contacted West beforehand but received no response. He then streamed the album on Twitch anyway.

The ban of xQc is hotly debated on reddit, after all, he is currently the biggest Twitch streamer in the world. Quickly, over 1400 comments were written:
- “The Olympic Committee waves hello” – This is a reference to the series “Game of Thrones” – basically meaning: The IOC is behind the ban.
- “Lost the lawsuit” – “Pokimane was not good enough as a lawyer” – This refers to the discussion about the Olympic Committee where Pokimane commented that xQc is being represented legally by his manager. She thought it was a bad idea.
- “Don’t be fooled – xQc is just trying to break the record of Indiefoxx for 6 bans in 6 months” – This is a reference to the now-permanently-banned Twitch streamer Indiefoxx, whom xQc has commented on.
- “No girlfriend – Check. No Twitch channel – Check. About to work at Target – Check. Must be xQc” – Mean comment.
What could have really happened? xQc has now been banned twice in a row for only 4 hours. This is puzzling.
