The American streamer Adin Ross was banned from Twitch indefinitely two years ago. Now he is surprisingly allowed to return and announces his comeback stream.
Why was Adin Ross banned? In an episode of the FULL SEND podcast (via YouTube), Adin Ross explains that he was banned from Twitch because he was streaming simultaneously on Kick, and the chat overlay from Kick was also visible on Twitch. In this chat, viewers apparently wrote some insults.
Having an unmoderated chat on Twitch, where insulting statements are made, violates the platform’s guidelines (via safety.twitch.tv).
Adin Ross believes this ban is unfair, as he thinks that “streamers constantly do a lot of crazy things” and “get away with it” (via YouTube). Furthermore, he indirectly accuses Twitch of banning him simply because he was streaming on their rival platform Kick, which Twitch likely did not like.
He further stated that he had already decided to switch to Kick months earlier. The probable reason for this includes the nonexistent gambling rules on Kick. Twitch had tightened its guidelines on gambling in streams at the end of September, which Adin Ross, who regularly engaged in this in his streams, did not appreciate.

Adin Ross returns to Twitch
Former Twitch star remains successful: A year before his ban, in late 2022, Adin Ross had over 7 million followers (via twitchtracker). His success did not cease on Kick; on the contrary: here, he was able to stream online casinos without being restricted by the streaming platform.
He managed to bring his community over to Twitch and continue to remain successful. He currently has over 1.6 million followers (via streamcharts). He was regarded as a kind of figurehead for Kick and even owns shares in the platform. Moreover, he mentioned that he would be paid a five-figure sum for every hour he streams on Kick (via YouTube).
Why was Adin Ross unbanned? The reason for the surprising unbanning of Adin Ross on Twitch is not known. However, it can be assumed that Adin Ross might have been in contact with platform officials for a while, as he announced in a stream that he would soon be unbanned.
And behold: Since March 29, 2025, the Twitch channel of the streamer is accessible again. Adin Ross also announced that there would be a return stream on Twitch on March 31, 2025, although he did not specify the exact time.
Currently, the followers from the Twitch channel of Adin Ross are only about 67,000. However, this is likely a bug that Twitch support should fix soon.
Although Adin Ross returns to Twitch, he is still considered a rather controversial streamer. Because of this image, a scammer managed to trick people by impersonating Adin Ross: A scammer is currently getting young people to smash their PS5 and televisions
