For a few days now, the leading Twitch streamer Asmongold (WoW, Palworld) has a new woman in his life and his legendary gamer room: the streamer Kaise. This does not sit well with some fans, who apparently live their lives through the streamer: they claim she is only with him because he is so famous.
What’s the deal with Asmongold and women?
- Although the streamer Asmongold is a millionaire and extremely successful, he is the prototypical MMORPG nerd and plays into these clichés: his room is cluttered, he survives on fast food, and his personal hygiene is questionable.
- He frequently jokes about this image: women are not for him, as they expect him to shower daily and make other completely impossible demands. He gets along best with Emiru, a member of his group OTK, who embodies sarcasm.
- The last time Asmongold had a public relationship, the woman, a beauty streamer named Pink Sparkles, was suspiciously eyed by his fans. They think: Asmongold is not allowed to have a girlfriend, because then he wouldn’t be like them anymore. They simply cannot identify with someone who has a girlfriend.
A Canadian who speaks Mandarin and Cantonese suddenly appears in the room
This is Kaise: The new woman who suddenly seems to live in Asmongold’s legendary gaming room is Kaise, a Canadian Twitch streamer who speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
She is originally from Vancouver, but is visiting Austin, Texas, where Asmongold has set up his headquarters.
The streamer wants to conquer the kingdom of cockroaches

What do the fans think of this relationship? The fans, many of whom have developed a somewhat unsettling parasocial relationship with Asmongold, practically living his life, find Kaise suspicious. They assume she surely has an OnlyFans, that she is only after the money and the fame that Asmongold’s relationship brings her. They believe she is only dating him to increase her reach.
She is currently being labeled a “gold digger”, meaning she is only with a man to benefit financially from him.
As evidence for this theory, they point out that the woman was staring into the camera and didn’t look in love at all while gazing at the old bearded man.
Whether this remote diagnosis holds up is questionable. Because although he may give the impression, Asmongold is quite self-reflective and knows what he is doing.
He still speaks affectionately and friendly about his last girlfriend, Pink Sparkles. Their relationship failed back then because he wanted to stay in the province while she wanted to move to the big city.
