In an interview with the business magazine Forbes, Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa (29) talks about how she divides her time between Twitch and Kick, and how she managed to assert herself as a woman in the streaming world.
What deal is it about? In mid-June 2023, Amouranth signed a non-exclusive contract with the Twitch competitor Kick. Since then, she has been dividing her time between the streaming platforms. The announcement of the switch was made with an ironic video:
First, Amouranth is seen reading an article about her Twitch colleague Félix “xQc” Lengyel. He received 70 million US dollars for a two-year contract with the option to earn an additional 30 million dollars if he meets certain conditions. The total sum of the deal amounts to 100 million dollars, making him even competitive with professional athletes.
In her own announcement, Amouranth calls her agent and says: “Hey, well, the 100-million-dollar deals have begun… can I get one of those?” How much money the streamer actually received was previously unknown; rumors spoke of 30 million US dollars for 2 years. In an interview with the business magazine Forbes, she now spoke about the monetization of her brand.
Amouranth went from Twitch outsider to top earner
How much did Amouranth actually receive? The streamer does not reveal that, but Forbes speaks of “a non-exclusive deal with the competitor platform Kick for an estimated 7 million dollars annually.” This means Amouranth would only receive 1/5 of what xQc received.
However, Twitch and Kick are not the only sources of income for the streamer. With her OnlyFans account alone, she reportedly earns more than 100 million US dollars a month. And Amouranth wouldn’t be the businesswoman she is if she couldn’t even make money while sleeping.
To manage all of this, Amouranth has a tight schedule: She explains to Forbes that she is live on Twitch and Kick for at least 10 hours a day. According to Amouranth, this is important for the community aspect.
The streamer explains that she differs from many of her female colleagues. They are not as chronically online as she is. For women, it is generally more difficult to assert oneself in live streaming because the audience is predominantly male and can identify more with men, says Amouranth.
However, she has managed to overcome the feeling of being an “outsider” as a female streamer on Twitch and just kept streaming.
However, to ensure a steady stream of new content, the streamer takes “two days every few weeks” to pre-produce content: On these days, YouTube videos, photos for Instagram and Twitter, as well as recordings that users can purchase on OnlyFans and other paid platforms are created.
In addition, Amouranth earns money through sponsorships and various investments. The 29-year-old owns several gas stations and knows how to invest her money wisely.
