One of the most famous FIFA streamers has made his annual season predictions ahead of the Bundesliga season 23/24. He predicted the standings of the clubs and speculated on the surprises of the season. Now, he has reacted to his forecasts on Twitch and created a game with the viewers at his expense.
What kind of football expert is this? Simon Schildgen is better known to most football and FIFA enthusiasts by his streaming name “GamerBrother” (here’s his Twitch channel). For 11 years now, the content creator has been producing new weekly videos on FIFA and now EA FC.
However, the influencer from Herne has also made a name for himself in the real football scene and has been hosting his own football talk show “At Broski” for 2 years. Once a month, he talks with former and current coaches and footballers, as well as other experts, about current topics from the world of football.

Expert evaluates his tips, rewards viewers for his fails
How did the reaction to his season predictions go? GamerBrother, as an expert, now has a reputation to lose. To substantiate this, he developed a kind of game with his viewers from the reaction to his predictions for the Bundesliga season 23/24.
He set the following rules:
- 5 gifted subs on Twitch for his viewers: for a “stupid” prediction
- 10 gifted subs on Twitch for his viewers: for a “really stupid” prediction
- 25 gifted subs on Twitch for his viewers: if a team’s placement deviates by more than 10 places from his prediction or if the individual rating of a player was off
- 5-10 subs can be reclaimed if he is (almost) correct with a prediction
Below we have summarized the punished fails for you. We focused on the most expensive penalties. First, you will read the expert’s wrong prediction followed by the actual result.
These expert tips were fails (25 subs to his viewers):
- Cologne coach Baumgart will bring Cologne back to their maximum, so they will have nothing to do with relegation – Cologne fired the coach after lack of success and was relegated at the end of the season
- Stuttgart finishes in 12th place – Stuttgart had an outstanding season and became vice-champions
- Mönchengladbach is much better positioned with coach Seoane than last season and finishes in 8th place – Gladbach had a disappointing season and even had to fight for survival at the end, finishing in 14th place; moreover, the coach is under strong criticism
- Union Berlin made strong transfers and finishes in 5th place – Union had to fight for survival until the last matchday, barely finishing in 15th place
- Dortmund’s new signing Rami Bensebaini will be the best transfer of the season – Bensebaini disappointed in the first half of the season at Dortmund and played no role in the second half, even being replaced by a winter transfer
The expert himself assesses the relatively high number of complete fails as follows: “That’s a 0 out of 10 prediction. That’s all wrong.” Even people who don’t watch football could have made such a prediction.

How much did his fails cost him? In the end, there were 305 gifted subs for his viewers on Twitch. Based on the 3.99 euros for the cheapest monthly sub offer, GamerBrother will be spending approximately 1200 euros for his fails to his viewers.
That’s a significant loss. The streamer might be even more upset about his internet connection: Twitch streamer says the German internet cost him thousands of euros, has to rely on expensive military equipment
Viewers mock: “Gladbach call was criminal”
Especially his belief in the team of Borussia Mönchengladbach financially backfired on the expert. In his prediction, he not only estimated Gladbach much better, but even referred to them as the “surprise team of the season”.
In the comments under his reaction, many viewers make fun of his assessment of Gladbach. This is evidenced by the two top comments under his video:

He himself cannot understand why he was tempted to make the Gladbach calls, which almost suggested that he was a fan of the club. The streamer is, however, an avowed Schalke fan.
