Usually, Félix “xQc” Lengyel is the biggest fish in the ocean of Twitch. But against the “Better yourself and your life by being like me” man Andrew Tate, even the streamer feels like he’s losing ground, as he now realizes.
Where was xQc outperformed?
- On Twitter, there is a phenomenon called “Ratio”. This means that the reply to a comment receives more likes and retweets than the original comment.
- That’s like getting “passed on the right” on the internet – it indicates that the person replying to you is more popular than you – and thus ranks automatically above you. Depending on the content of the reply comment, it can also mean: People see it differently than you.
- This is a very important thing for influencers on Twitter.
Andrew Tate promises to fix the sad xQc
This was the exchange: xQc posted on April 6: “I have been sad lately. That’s all. Nothing more.”
Andrew Tate simply posted: “I can fix you.”
The reactions this drives are outrageous:
- xQc’s tweet was viewed 8 million times – received 77,362 likes and 5,343 retweets
- Tate’s reply was viewed 3.8 million times – it received 111,614 likes and 3,479 retweets
Why is xQc sad? What is publicly known about xQc’s life doesn’t sound great:
- While the 27-year-old has a lot of money and fans
- he spends most of his time in front of a PC in a cluttered room and eats takeout
- he also struggles with stalkers, who make his life hell
- xQc also had a strange relationship with a colleague – which was extensively and enjoyably discussed by his fans
- a story that summarizes xQc’s situation: The 27-year-old bought an expensive sports car but doesn’t have a driver’s license and thus had to put the car in his wife’s name
How did xQc react? In a video, xQc seems to be even harder to understand than usual. He says something like: He took a loss, received a “ratio” from Andrew Tate. That just happens.

What’s this really about? It’s a bit complicated. Tate is a controversial person who recentlywas held in custody in Romania on suspicion of being involved in human trafficking, rape, and organized crime. He was caught by the authorities after publicly arguing with Greta Thunberg.
Since March 31, he has been under house arrest and no charges have been filed yet.
- To his critics, he is an unbearable misogynist, nonsense speaker, macho, and probably a criminal.
- However, his fans see him as someone who makes men better versions of themselves by encouraging them to believe in God, improve their body and mind, and thus attain material wealth, which they can then be proud of. They also somehow shed the yoke of oppression by women, but that only resonates as a subtext.
xQc symbolizes, in the eyes of Tate’s fans, the exact opposite of such an ideal man.
It is stated in the comments to the YouTube video that xQc is “the pinnacle of degeneracy”. His life would be much better if he went to the gym, got a life coach, and listened to Andrew Tate.
Then surely the women in his life would stop pushing him away. This is the ultimate sin for the fans: A woman has some form of power over the man. This is practically unnatural and must be avoided at all costs.
However, one commentator is on xQc’s side and writes somewhat cynically: Andrew Tate should fix his own life. He can’t even leave his own house. He should be quiet before he starts interfering in the lives of other people.
As a “positive example”, Adin Ross is mentioned, who allegedly lives according to Tate’s teachings.
