Destiny 2 plans to offer more freedom in build compositions with Witch Queen. However, the gameplay already provides many creative opportunities for anyone who likes to experiment. YouTuber Marsix has compiled great exotic combos in a video. We will tell you what they are and why you should try them before Witch Queen.
Over time, it can get boring to always play the currently strongest meta build in Destiny 2. There are so many exotics and combinations with exotics that can drastically change playstyle, are incredibly efficient, and are also fun.
- You can bomb your enemies away with the chaining of explosion damage
- Make yourself invisible for an eternity and strike from ambush
- Be so toxic that you can clear a raid encounter solo
In his current video, YouTuber Marsix presents the coolest and craziest build combos with exotics that you can currently use in the game. His suggestions significantly enhance even poor exotics.
The video is especially interesting for players who have not yet delved deeply into exotic builds and the possibilities in Destiny 2. It can serve as good inspiration on how to combine exotics, meaning two yellow items, effectively.
The exotic combinations for all three classes
We will introduce the builds for all three classes in more detail here and tell you which exotic armor pieces and weapons you need to combine.
The exotic combos for the Warlock
“Necrotic Grip” + Exotic Hand Cannon “Dorn”
This build has long been a must-have for Warlocks. Combining the exotic “Necrotic Grip” and the exotic hand cannon “Dorn” makes you an effective mass killer and especially highly contagious. The spreading corruption is extremely toxic against smaller enemies.
“Fugitive” + Exotic Pulse Rifle “No Time to Explain”
With this exotic combination, you turn your Warlock into a walking turret. Thanks to “Fugitive,” you can turn your grenade into a small turret (arc soul) that supports you in battle.
If you also trigger the perk “Rewind” of the exotic weapon “No Time to Explain” 10 times, a small time portal opens up additionally. This gives you basically two effective turrets at the same time. Precision hits extend the duration of this time portal.
The exotic combos for the Titan
“Rift Plough” + Exotic Bow “Ticcus’s Prophecy”
An explosion is good, multiple explosions are better. With this combination, you can really make things blow up. A shot with the bow from the hip followed by a melee attack triggers two explosions simultaneously. At least in normal to medium challenges, this brings you massive area damage that blows things away.
“Actium War Rig” + Exotic Auto Rifle “Workhorse”
The Workhorse is named that for a reason. With it, you can hold down the trigger until the magazine is empty. Then you usually have to reload. But if you combine it with the exotic “Actium War Rig,” which constantly reloads part of the magazine from reserves, you can seemingly hold down the trigger indefinitely.
The exotic combos for the Hunter
“Oathkeeper” + Exotic Bow “Le Monarque”
The exotic void bow “Le Monarque” has long been considered one of the best bows in Destiny 2. It has proven very effective against the crazy overload champions in Season 15, provided you can always trigger its poison damage. If you can’t always manage that, you should definitely play it with the hunter exotic “Oathkeeper”.
Actually, the exotic is supposed to simply extend the duration for which you can hold a bow drawn. But with “Le Monarque,” it ensures that the poison arrow perk is always active. If you combine that with the mod “High-Energy Fire,” you can kill a Guardian in the Crucible with a single shot.
“Graviton Lance” + Exotic Hand Cannon “Rat King”
Do you want to run through all enemies without taking damage? Then just make yourself almost permanently invisible. Thanks to the exotic “Graviton Lance,” the duration of the invisibility effect can be doubled to about 12 seconds. At the same time, the exotic grants faster melee regeneration.
You get even more invisibility when you play the exotic hand cannon “Rat King” and crank your strength up to 100. Reload immediately after a kill, and you have time to wait for your melee charge to regenerate, allowing you to remain almost permanently invisible.
Before you try one of these builds in Destiny 2, we want to recommend our latest podcast to you. There, shooter fans can learn which releases to expect in early 2022. After a 2-click authentication, you can already listen to this:
Why you should try the exotic builds before Witch Queen: Currently, we already know some details, but no one knows exactly what might change with Witch Queen regarding abilities and exotics.
Therefore, our recommendation is to simply try the combinations now, before Witch Queen is released on February 22, 2022. Perhaps you will even find the perfect build that you can use to start the new campaign, as long as nothing changes.
Do you know all the exotic build combos, or was there something you didn’t know? Do you perhaps use other exotic builds that you absolutely want to recommend to other players? Or are you among the players who choose a fixed build at the beginning of a season and design their Guardian accordingly? Let us know in the comments.
