A demo version for the MMO shooter Destiny will be released tomorrow, on 18.11., for Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
This is unexpected: Starting tomorrow, all owners of a Playstation 3 or Playstation 4 can try out the MMO shooter Destiny. However, there are differences in the versions:
- Playstation 3 owners cannot carry their account from the demo version when they purchase the game. The demo option is available only until January 15, after which the option to switch to Playstation 4 for free will also end – probably a hint.
- Playstation 4 testers can convert their test account into a full account. The demo offer is also unlimited.
The demo version comes with significant limitations. The maximum level is 7, there are some story missions on Earth, but only one strike is possible: “The Devil’s Lair.” The trial version of Destiny can be downloaded for free from the Playstation Store.
My MMO says: What stands out: Bungie and Activision seem to really want players to switch to a Playstation 4 by January 15. This could be a sign that “Destiny 2” for instance, will no longer be developed for PS3.
