Generously gifted – but for how long?
Bugs are part of online gaming, and no game can claim to have been released completely bug-free. Many are just annoying and have little impact on the game world – but what happens when something goes seriously wrong? This is what has happened now with Trove.
After the maintenance work on the real-money shop of the online adventure, a particularly annoying bug crept in, which rewarded many players: In addition to rare mounts, players also suddenly found a lot of other items from the shop in their inventory. Although the error was noticed relatively quickly and the developers from Trion Worlds took the game down for further maintenance, this issue is not over yet: Many players still have numerous undeserved items in their inventory.
While there are plans to try to take back the illegitimate loot from the players during the week, whether they can really completely reverse the damage or whether a selected group of players will get away with the loot remains to be seen in the coming week.
Trove has recently reached the milestone of 1 million active players and enjoys great popularity.
