Many players are also puzzled by the previous absence of Phione, Manaphy, and Arceus, as the release of the fourth generation was even longer ago.
However, it is conceivable that they will appear throughout the year – because if Niantic continues as before, we should see a Sinnoh tour in spring 2024 after the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn tours. And at least for the previous tours, the entire generation has been catchable.
However, this is currently just speculation. Which Pokémon do you want to see next in GO? Let us know in the comments!
Next up in Pokémon GO is the release of Crypto-Registeel. But is the Pokémon worth it? Here you can find the overview of Crypto-Registeel in Giovanni’s team at Pokémon GO.
In Pokémon GO there are now plenty of different Pokémon, but a whole bunch is still missing. Particularly one monster is puzzling trainers right now.
On January 7, 2023, trainers in Pokémon GO received a special announcement: Kecleon suddenly appeared after years of waiting and occupied PokéStops in its disguise.
With the ability to catch Kecleon now, Pokémon GO reached a new milestone: All monsters from the Hoenn region, namely from the third generation, are now available in the game.
The Hoenn Dex can thus be completed, fitting for the upcoming Hoenn Tour. However, this does not apply to the other regions from which monsters are still missing. And that is exactly what trainers are discussing right now.
Where are Mähikel and Chevrumm actually?
In the Pokémon GO subreddit, trainers are currently discussing an updated graphic that shows how many Pokémon are still missing in the game. We’ll embed it here for you:
The graphic shows some “special” Pokémon. Among them are the mysterious Pokémon Phione and Manaphy from the Sinnoh region, just like the “Pokémon God” Arceus, which players have been speculating about for a long time.
Also missing are some Hisui forms from “Legends Arceus”, as well as the bug Pokémon Ignivor and Ramoth from the fifth generation.
Additionally, there are some exciting monsters from the Kalos region, such as the legendary Pokémon Zygarde and some other representatives. Also, 29 monsters from Alola, 76 from Galar, and 103 from Paldea.
However, players are currently particularly puzzled about one Pokémon in the Kalos overview: the goat Pokémon “Mähikel” and its evolution “Chevrumm”.
What kind of Pokémon are they? Mähikel and Chevrumm were introduced in the sixth generation and brought a special feature: They were rideable Pokémon, helping the player to get from point A to point B.
Otherwise, they are rather inconspicuous Pokémon. And precisely because of this, trainers are wondering why they are still on the list of missing Pokémon. After all, many, partly very strong or special Pokémon from the Kalos region can already be caught in GO.
- “Guys, why the hell is Chevrumm still missing?” (via reddit).
- “They probably forgot it exists” (via reddit).
- “That Chevrumm was left out is very strange, considering how simple this Pokémon is. I wonder if it will be a gimmick Pokémon. It was the Pokémon that introduced the ride gimmick, but that doesn’t really mean anything in GO. Maybe your avatar can ride certain Pokémon if it’s set as a buddy and you walk,” speculates user “Bucen” (via reddit).
- “A riding Pokémon that could reduce the egg hatching time if you have it as a buddy would be fun,” another user directly suggests (via reddit).
- “Oh, a built-in incubator. That will never happen,” replies user Bucen (via reddit).
- “I could see Mähikel and Chevrumm appearing in a spring event, but yes, it’s crazy that they weren’t in the original Kalos drop (via reddit).
When Mähikel and Chevrumm will come into the game is still completely open. Moreover, there are also other candidates. However, players are also puzzled about that in some cases. An example of this are Ignivor and the popular Ramoth, which players have been waiting for ages.
