What are trainers warning about? The new raids with Mega Latios and Mega Latias are really difficult. So difficult that a group of randomly assembled trainers can easily fail. On reddit, d12fsu writes that apps like Poke Genie should perform a damage check for trainers who want to participate in the raid. The app had already demanded this for raids with the defense form of Deoxys.
Through the app Poke Genie, trainers from all over the world can participate in raids. You can create and join lobbies for free. The problem is that players with lower levels (below 40) can also participate and often bring little damage.
In challenging raids like Mega Latias or Mega Latios, this can lead to raids not being won. “It is frustrating to waste a remote raid pass on a level 33 player who comes to a legendary Mega raid with a Snubbull,” writes d12fsu.
A damage check could help ensure that only trainers who can contribute enough damage to win the raid enter the lobbies.
In the comments, players write that they play this type of raid with about 8 players when random trainers are invited.
If you want to rely on fewer players, then you should have the top counters in the team and a high trainer level. However, we recommend groups of at least 6 strong players, ideally 8 or more. This way, you have a good chance of succeeding in your raids.
