What’s new: Trainers are reporting on Reddit that they continue to receive multiple free Raid Passes from gyms today, on May 26th. This bonus was intended for yesterday in Europe, in celebration of Lapras Day.
According to initial reports, it seems that there is still the opportunity to raid for free multiple times this Sunday afternoon. From spinning a gym disk, trainers are reporting today that they can receive up to 5 free Raid Passes.
Here’s how to get the free passes: You can only receive one pass at a time. You must complete a raid and use a pass first, then spin the disk of a gym again to receive the next pass. This is said to work up to 5 times.
What the players say: On Reddit, user eryhM writes: I just went to a gym, did a raid, and received a new Raid Pass when I spun the disk. I then went to another raid and received another free Raid Pass. It stopped after 5 raids.
Other players in the Reddit thread confirm that they also received the free passes today, even outside of Lapras Day.
What’s the reason for this? It is uncertain whether this bonus is intentional or occurs by accident. It is likely that Lapras Day is still taking place today in the Asia-Pacific region. And the bonus with the Raid Passes is probably still available in other parts of the world, even though those have already had Lapras Day.
A player also reports the opposite phenomenon: “In APAC (Asia-Pacific) we also had up to 5 free Raid Passes yesterday, even though our Lapras Day is only today.”
