A trainer gave it all to not miss out on a shiny in Pokémon GO. In the end, he was rewarded for that.
For many trainers, collecting rare monsters in Pokémon GO is highly valued. Particularly popular among many players are the sometimes very rare shiny specimens.
A trainer reports what problems he had with the chance of encountering a shiny monster. And how he spared no effort to successfully catch the monster in the end.
Load, run, catch
What problems did he face? As the trainer reports in his post on Reddit, he encountered a Galar Zigzagoon in its shiny form at home. The problem? He didn’t have a single ball to catch the monster.
And as if that wasn’t enough, shortly after spotting the monster, the battery of his smartphone also died. Since Pokémon spawns are only available for a limited time and disappear after a certain time, the trainer had to react quickly.
What did the trainer do? As the trainer writes, he first charged his smartphone battery a bit. Then he took off running as fast as he could to the nearest PokéStop.
Once there, he spun it and, according to his own statement, received a Hyper Ball and the dream that the endeavor could succeed. While he ran as quickly as possible back home towards the shiny, he stressed himself out, knowing he only had one ball to catch the shiny.
And? Once home, he threw the ball at the Galar Zigzagoon – successfully. The ball hit its target and caught the monster. The trainer was rewarded for his quick actions and the distance traveled and now enjoys a new shiny in his collection.
