THE FINALS is an upcoming shooter from Embark Studios. During the gamescom 2022, the trailer was presented, showcasing an action-packed game show where contestants compete against each other. The game is set to release on Steam soon – currently, players can sign up for the playtest.
At the gamescom 2022 Opening Light Live, new trailers were raining down – among them, Embark Studio also showcased their new game: THE FINALS.
Behind Embark Studios is a Swedish game studio, founded in November 2018. The developers include former employees from Battlefield, such as ex-DICE head Patrick Söder and Robert Runessson.
The trailer shows a crazy, colorful game world where things get intense. Players can already sign up for the playtest of THE FINALS.

The Different Game Show
What is THE FINALS about? The game revolves around a crazy game show where players participate as contestants and aim to emerge as the star of the show. The environment is virtual. THE FINALS will be a free first-person shooter.
What can we expect in THE FINALS? Players will fight against each other in teams and are expected to deliver a large event for the viewers of the show. Of course, a show does not work without sponsors, fans, and fame – things that the player must earn in THE FINALS.
The arenas are based on real locations and can be modified and destroyed by the contestants. Players should also utilize their surroundings and integrate them into their strategy – this would give them a better chance of victory.
Various skills, builds, and a wide selection of weapons are said to allow for an individual playstyle. According to THE FINALS’ Steam page, there are no limits: ‘Throw wrecking balls at your opponents! Don’t just pull the trigger, demolish entire buildings!’ (via steam)
