Dinolords is a new strategy game on Steam that aims to make city building with dinosaurs a whole new challenge. Players are already excited about this concept.
What kind of game is this? In this real-time strategy game on Steam, you must build your own city in medieval England and fend off invading Vikings. Here, however, Dinolords definitely differs from other games in the genre. Because your opponents are coming to attack on dinosaurs.
The game is developed by Northplay and published under Ghost Ship Publishing. There is no exact release date yet.
With a new trailer, the developers want to show once again how well medieval times, city building, and dinosaurs go together:
What does the trailer show? The trailer starts like many “normal” strategy games. In medieval England, the English are attacked by Vikings and driven from their homeland. As a player, you are now faced with the task of building a new city.
The trailer shows that this can be quite relaxed at first. You gather resources, build your first huts, forge weapons, train your troops, expand your territory, and secure yourself by building a wall until you have succeeded in creating a large city.
But then the trailer shows that the danger from the enemy Vikings is far from over. Instead, they go on the attack again and tear down the walls of your new city. This time, however, they come riding on large dinosaurs.
These creatures, thought to be extinct, now make your life difficult. In chainmail and in whole hordes, they fight alongside the Vikings, happily destroying everything and everyone that stands in their way.
What does the community say? Although there have only been two proper trailers and a showcase of nearly 20 minutes (via YouTube), players are very enthusiastic about the concept of the strategy game. This is also evident from the comments under the latest trailer (via YouTube).
Most comments particularly praise the interesting concept, with many stating that this is exactly the mix they have been waiting for since childhood.

However, another user raises the question of what if someone does not want to play as an Englishman, but wants to breed their own army of dinosaurs. Presumably, you will indeed have your own dinosaurs in the game. Whether you take the side of the Vikings or continue to play as the English is not entirely certain.
