Apex Legends has introduced the trailer for the upcoming Season 4. It features the new legend Revenant along with some potential abilities and his disturbing and somewhat sad story.
This is shown in the trailer: The new trailer for the upcoming Season 4 shows a young man taking on a contract murder after shaving. Apparently, the contract originates from Hammond Industries, the corporation that also supported the originally assumed legend Forge.
The target is introduced as a family man who is having dinner with his wife and daughter when Revenant breaks through a window and ruthlessly takes out bodyguards and guests. Revenant is presented as a robot, but apparently still possesses some human components made of flesh or a consciousness.
After the wife of the unknown victim confronts Revenant, she is also killed. The father manages to get his daughter to safety before Revenant catches him too. He asks who Revenant is, and Revenant simply replies, “Death,” before breaking his neck with one hand.
Revenant then looks into a reflection in a broken glass and sees himself as the blonde man from the beginning of the video. A memory shows him trying to shave as a robot, as seen in the intro. He becomes angry and shatters his reflection.
New Legend – Revenant and his Abilities
What can Revenant do? The video shows some abilities that Revenant could possess:
- Climbing up walls
- A robot arm that he can turn into a blade
- The ability to turn into a shadow
- Transformation into a glowing form like molten lava rock
Whether all the scenes shown are upcoming abilities, we cannot say for sure yet.
When can I play Revenant? Season 4 officially starts on February 4. Whether Revenant will be available right at the start is still uncertain. However, this was also the case with Crypto, which makes it likely.
However, it is also possible that Revenant does not appear at all. After all, Respawn also abruptly killed off the originally announced legend Forge.
Reactions and Significance of the Trailer
How the trailer is received: Even before the actual start of the trailer at exactly 7:00 PM, the stream on YouTube received over 64,000 upvotes. Now, 25 minutes later, this has risen to over 102,000. The community is excited about Season 4 and Revenant.
What does it mean? The trailer apparently shows the story of Revenant. It seems that he was once a human but was turned into a machine by Hammond Industries or Hammond Robotics and lost his humanity.
Whether he feels hatred towards the company for this is unclear, but it does not seem so. After all, he takes on contract murders for the company. How exactly he will be introduced in Apex Legends remains to be seen.
