Just Wait Out the Storm
A powerful tornado recently ravaged the small town of Greensboro in North Carolina. The whirlwind mercilessly tore through the town at 135 miles per hour (217 km/h), leaving a path of destruction. Houses were blown away, roofs ripped off, power lines whipped around, and cars flew through the air like toys.
However, while most residents of the town were frantically seeking cover, one remained calm: the teenager Anton Williams was in the middle of a Fortnite game. And he was winning. It would be ridiculous if such a silly storm ruined his victory.
When Cars Were Flying By, Doubts Crept In
According to a statement on US television, the teenager wasn’t even aware of what was happening outside at first. Sure, he saw the neighboring houses being ripped apart. But whatever, he was winning; the tornado could wait!
But then it got worse, and when power lines started whipping around and cars flew past the window, the boy had some concerns about his safety. So he reluctantly left his game behind and brought himself along with his sister and nephew to safety in the bathroom.
While hiding from the storm there, he mainly thought about his abandoned Fortnite game, which he could no longer win. However, he also became worried about his neighbors. Unfortunately, he still lost the game…
