The PPSh-41 submachine gun is completely out of control in Call of Duty: Warzone. Due to a bug, the weapon deals way too much damage. Now the developers are stepping in – for now, the weapon remains strong.
This is the situation:
- Season 2 came out just over a week ago and brought a ton of weapon changes
- It took a few days, then players discovered that the PPSh submachine gun is completely “overpowered”
- Now the developers clarified: This is a bug that will be fixed soon
CoD Warzone: PPSh rampages over Caldera
Is the weapon really that strong? Absolutely, it’s exaggerated. The time-to-kill of the PPSh from Vanguard can drop to 400 milliseconds with close combat setups – without headshots.
500 milliseconds are already considered very strong in Warzone and the PPSh can offer less in many situations and is very easy to use.
If you want to take advantage of the OP power in the next few days, here are 2 setups for your enjoyment:
How long will this last? Unfortunately, it’s not possible to say for sure at the moment. The developers are talking about a “problem” and not a “bug” with the balancing.
The increase in damage was not intended and the problem is still being investigated. Therefore, unfortunately, it can’t be said for sure how long the broken gun will remain in the game.
However, it shouldn’t take too long, and you can expect a nerf this week or, at the latest, next week.
The broken PPSh submachine gun in Warzone is now one of the most unpopular weapon metas and the power has only been known for a few days.
Right now, while a double-XP event is currently running, such overpowered weapons are annoying, because you can really only rely on the OP gun to keep up in close combat.
