On March 31, 2022, the awards ceremony for the German Computer Game Award will take place in Munich. MeinMMO, GameStar and GamePro will celebrate the nominees together in a pre-show on March 24. You are warmly invited.
What is the DCP? The German Computer Game Award presents awards in 16 categories related to gaming in Germany.
A total of €800,000 will be awarded to the winners in 2022, funded by the federal government and “game”, the association of the German games industry.
The event will take place on March 31 and will start with a warm-up at 7 PM. The awards ceremony begins at 7:30 PM. You can find the livestream on the website of the German Computer Game Award (via deutscher-computerspielpreis.de).

What happens during the pre-show? Our moderator duo Ollimeee and Michael Obermeier will provide you with over 2 hours of entertainment.
We will introduce you to the nominations, talk to some developers about their games, and put the jury to the test. If you want to take a look at the nominations now, check it out here:
Our program also includes a DCP quiz and a game we call “DCP Matchmaker”.
In the Matchmaker, we will select the game that best matches moderator Ollimeee from gaming hidden gems.
The twist is that the connected developers cannot reveal their game at first but must answer Ollimeee’s questions as creatively as possible – just like in the TV classic Matchmaker.

What’s next: On March 31, the actual award ceremony will be celebrated at the Tonhalle in Munich. The two moderators Uke Bosse and Katrin Bauerfeind will lead the show as a hybrid event.
The nominees and numerous presenters will receive their awards on-site, and all viewers will be able to follow the show via streams. Streamer Ollimeee will moderate the community bar and bring the reactions of the audience directly into the show.
The trophies and awards will also be presented this year by prominent guests such as Markus Söder, Michael Keller, Jana Forkel, Markus Heintz, and Aria Addams.
