On December 8, the new map for Battle Royale Warzone arrives. There will also be a graphics update. But what actually happens in Warzone until the big change? We at MeinMMO summarize the last days for you.
Goodbye Verdansk, it was a great time.
Original Message: What is happening? Call of Duty: Warzone is undergoing a major change. The battle royale is the link between the annual CoD paid titles and benefits from live seasons and releases. With Vanguard , CoD 2021 is already on the market, but not much has changed in Warzone.
However, this will change on December 8. Warzone is getting a new map, the anti-cheat system “RICOCHET” is launching, and it will completely switch to Vanguard’s graphics engine.
But before that, 3 events are starting in Warzone and the playlists are already known. Here we show you an overview of what happens until the integration of Vanguard into Warzone.
Warzone with 3 Events in November
When will the changes occur? The new season and the Pacific update will start on December 8 at 6 PM. Season 1 for Vanguard starts then. However, Warzone will go into a 12-hour server downtime prior to this – here is the schedule:
- December 8 at 6 AM – Server downtime & preload start
- Pacific update start: December 8 at 6 PM
- Caldera access with Vanguard: December 8 at 6 PM
- Caldera access without Vanguard: December 9 at 6 PM
If you haven’t purchased Vanguard, you will only have access to the small map “Rebirth Island” from December 8 to December 9.
What events will start by then? The Warzone calendar offers three events for November:
- Operation Flashback – Since November 18
- Secrets of the Pacific – Since November 24
- Last Hours of Verdansk – Since December 6
All 3 events will be online until the server downtime on December 8 at 6 AM.
What is “Operation Flashback”? Since November 18, a game mode is available in Warzone that celebrates the highlights of the last 18 months since the release. You can relive many events, items, or occurrences since the launch of the battle royale:
What is “Secrets of the Pacific”? Here you must gather information about Warzone’s new Pacific map and receive rewards in the form of cosmetics for doing so. This event does not have its own mode but influences gameplay in Warzone a bit. You should secure and hold artifacts, for example.
How to solve the event and receive all cosmetics, you can learn here:
What is “Last Hours of Verdansk”? In this special game mode, only 100 people are in Verdansk. Planes regularly drop from the sky, at their crash sites you can start missions for lots of cash or loadout drops – because your loadouts cost 25,000 cash at the buy stations.
The finale is also a bit different. Instead of fighting until the last survivor, you must capture a point in one of the bunkers from Season 6. The last teams then fiercely fight for the underground flag.
If you participate in the event, you will receive an exclusive business card to say goodbye to Verdansk. If you manage a victory, there’s another card on top.
Warzone: Playlist until the transition
What does the playlist look like until then?
- Start December 2
- Battle Royale – Solo, Duo, Trio, 4-player
- Operation: Flashback – 4-player
- Blood Money – Trio
- Iron Trials – Duo
- Start December 6 – 7 PM
- Last Hours of Verdansk – Trio
The final details regarding the transition from Warzone to Vanguard are still unclear. Especially regarding gameplay, there are still questions. However, we already know that there will be new planes.
Otherwise, it seems that more mechanics will remain in the game than previously thought. There will still be a heartbeat sensor and snapshot grenades available.
