Shortly before the Server Slam and the release of Diablo 4, the developers want to address the most important questions from the community once again. In a dev stream, the heads will discuss cosmetics, battle pass, and seasons.
What topics are being discussed? In the dev update on May 10, Rod Fergusson (cover image), Joe Piepiora, Kegan Clark, and Adam Fletcher will talk about cosmetics, battle pass, and seasons of Diablo 4 – the content that is expected to come after the release.
Especially the battle pass and cosmetics have been a topic in the community for a while. Fans see the danger that Blizzard might become too greedy and sell pay2win content, or that the skins ruin the game.
An information that might reassure many was given by Adam Fletcher in advance (via Twitter): the battle pass is linked to your account, not the platform.
Diablo 4 supports full crossplay with cross-progression. You can continue to play the battle pass seamlessly on any platform for which you own Diablo 4.
When and where can I watch? The stream will start on Wednesday, May 10, at 8:00 PM German time. You can watch on the official Diablo channels on Twitch or YouTube:

Cosmetics and Battle Pass – But nothing about the shop yet?
The monetization of Diablo 4 is causing some concerns among many fans and us as well. In none of the public tests has the shop and its content been revealed so far. Important information on topics such as:
- What can be purchased?
- Is there pay2win?
- How expensive will skins and similar items be?
The developers have repeatedly assured that there will be no pay2win in Diablo 4. However, many fans do not fully trust the studio regarding this statement after the debacle of Diablo Immortal.
Although the shop is not an official part of the stream on May 10, there may still be some more precise information about monetization. After all, cosmetics are supposed to be the content of the shop.
Before the release on June 6, you will have one last chance to test Diablo 4 yourself. Blizzard wants you to really stress the servers so that there are no issues on launch:
