Where does the information come from? In the past few days, we have received emails indicating that today, February 22, 2022, a PS5 sale is supposed to take place directly at Sony. The people must have received an email from Sony announcing the drop.
When is the sale supposed to start? The email mentions 10:30 AM as the start time for the sale. This time is also confirmed by Gameswirtschaft (via gameswirtschaft.de). The sale is supposed to run until 12 PM.
It is still unknown if there will be an open sales campaign. You need to be patient and hope for Sony.

What is the advantage of PlayStation Direct? PlayStation Direct is Sony’s direct distribution channel. You buy your hardware directly from Sony and not through a third party or a store. Returns or warranty cases are also handled directly by Sony, which can save time.

At the moment, you can pay at PlayStation Direct in Germany either with Visa or Mastercard. Other options are not available yet. Invoicing, direct debit, transfer, or PayPal are not accepted.
