The shortage of PS5 consoles unfortunately remains enormous in 2022. Only Sony has had at least one Warehouse Sale through its own shop “PlayStation Direct” at least once a month since the beginning of the year. The last in-house sale of PS5 consoles in the Sony shop took place yesterday.
The catch: You could only buy a PS5 at Sony during these events if you previously received an email with a personalized link. Through this link, you then access the Sony shop and can purchase a PS5 and the corresponding accessories.
Previously, there would often be a public sale after the exclusive sale. However, this has been absent since the beginning of the year. Until today, when there is an open sale for everyone.

Where can you buy a PS5 today? On the official homepage of PlayStation Direct, you can already see the countdown for the opening of the waiting line.
When is the sale supposed to start? After the countdown ends today, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 12:30 PM, you will have 30 minutes to queue up. Subsequently, a lottery will determine who among all participants can buy a PS5.
Who can buy a PS5 directly from Sony? Today’s sale is open to everyone.
How can one pay? According to the official FAQ from Sony, there are currently only two payment methods (via direct.playstation.com). At this moment, you can pay at PlayStation Direct in Germany either with Visa or Mastercard. There are currently no other options. Invoice, direct debit, transfer, or PayPal are not accepted.
