The sales figures for Titanfall 2 are lower than expected, says Electronic Arts.
The CFO of EA, Blake Jorgensen, spoke about the shooter Titanfall 2 at an investors’ conference. It sold fewer copies than expected. However, he did not provide exact numbers.
The head of EA, Andrew Wilson, added that they have a great relationship with TF2 developer Respawn. He believes that Titanfall 2 will continue to sell well due to its high quality. With Titanfall 2, they have one of the best games of the year and one of the best shooters of the current generation. They expect the Titanfall 2 community to keep growing.
He compared Titanfall 2 to Battlefield 4. This shooter also had a slow start but then sold millions.
EA wants to remain committed to the Titanfall series. Content plans for Titanfall 2 have been forged.
However, it is uncertain whether a Titanfall 3 will be released. EA has not commented on this. Respawn founder Vince Zambella left the question open last year.
