Titanfall 2: Free Weekend – Hier geht es zum Download auf PC, Xbox One [Update]

Titanfall 2 is currently having issues with the free multiplayer weekend. Players cannot find the download or are prompted to enter a product key that they do not have.

Update 3.12.: Respawn has resolved the issues. Players on Xbox One with Gold membership should download here from the Xbox Store. PC players can download it from this link at Origin.

Many were looking forward to trying Titanfall 2 on PC and Xbox One, starting today to give Titanfall 2 a try and kick off the weekend with some action. Respawn announced a free multiplayer weekend. But something seems to have gone wrong: Players are being asked for an access code – which does not exist. Thus, the download on PC and Xbox One cannot be found. Many fans are complaining, unsure of what the issue is: Are they currently making a mistake, or why is it not working as intended?

A developer has now responded on reddit. Jayfresh_Respawn, Community Manager at Respawn, says: “Guys, we know there are issues with the download on PC and Xbox One, and we are working on it. We will get back to you when the issues are resolved.”

Some have had success in downloading Titanfall 2 via Origin. But that does not seem to be the case for all users.

Update: For Xbox players, the problem seems to be that they are being asked to enter an EA Access code. Which they actually do not need. They are addressing the issue. Players on PC should be able to download it via Origin, but the MP trial is unavailable there, and they are also working on that. Only on PS4 seems to be okay.
