The search for powerful loot is one of the most important things in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. It’s unfortunate if it’s so powerful that no one can use it.
Just like in the Borderlands main series, the countless weapons that can be collected throughout the game are one of the main components of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Accordingly, players are always on the hunt for powerful, effect-laden, and preferably legendary weapons that can melt enemy bosses in seconds. However, they must also be at a high level – so that they can keep up in the endgame.
For the characters that can be created in Wonderlands, the current level cap is 40. This means that players can only use weapons that are at most level 40.
It’s unfortunate if suddenly players find weapons that exceed this limit. But that’s exactly the case right now.
Players find weapons above the level cap: “I want to cry”
This is the problem: In the Wonderlands subreddit, players are currently sharing items that are already beyond level 40. For example, user “MrCheedaCheese” found a cool shield named “Maced Wardu of Healing” with the text “He’s too dangerous to be left alive”.
Star Wars fans will have recognized the reference to Mace Windu immediately.
The bitter part is, however, that the shield dropped at level 41. Therefore, it is not equippable: “Isn’t the cap 40? I feel cheated. I want to cry,” writes MrCheedaCheese in the corresponding post.
This item, however, is currently not an isolated case. Another user, for example, shows a powerful SMG at level 43 (via reddit), while another user snatched a shotgun at level 41 (via reddit).
Here too, logically, the weapons cannot be used.
What’s going on? So far, there have been no official developer statements on whether this is a bug and if a fix is in the works. It’s possible that the weapons will remain unusable for the time being.
However, in previous Borderlands titles, level increases have often been provided, for instance, through a DLC or an update. It’s possible that this will also happen this time and that, for example, during the release of the first season pass, a level increase will occur.
At least then one could use the weapons found now. It would be better if only weapons within the current level cap were found – then one wouldn’t have to be frustrated about finding a powerful weapon. As soon as there is news on this, we will keep you updated.
Unfortunately, this is not the only loot-related issue that can be found in Wonderlands. For example, there are problems with the loot menu in split-screen.
