Throne and Liberty Server Status: Wilderness of Talandre is live – Patch Notes

Wilderness of Talandre: Official Patch Notes

New Zone: Talandre

The inhospitable zone of Talandre, located in the central region of Solisium, has long been avoided by humans due to its rough terrain and unusually large hordes of demon beasts.

Refugees fleeing from the oppression of the Purpur family found sanctuary in the highest area, where they established the village of Herba. The harsh environment and deadly monsters ensured that nature remained largely untouched by human hands.

Level Progression Changes

Discover the next chapter in the story of  THRONE AND LIBERTY, level up your character to level  55, elevate your lifestyle content to level  25, and much more.

On your journey, you will encounter new, diverse events, unexplored field dungeons like the Temple of Truth, and wild new area bosses. After the launch of Talandre, regular milestones will introduce new zone events, ore bosses, field dungeons, and other surprises.

New Solo Dungeons

Want to make an even bigger impact on your next group or guild activity?

Triumph in new solo dungeons like the Hall of Illusions to better prepare yourself for tougher content. For overcoming enemies, obstacles, and unique mechanics, you will also earn rewards. Kailos, the master of the Hall of Illusions, aimed to create not only a gallery for masterpieces with the halls but a living, breathing world. He made it his life’s purpose to record how adventurers overcame trials and learned from them through his paintings.

Now you hold an invitation from Kailos in your hands. The hall gates open before you, revealing endless labyrinths of corridors adorned with countless paintings. Each holds worlds of endless adventures within. With what legendary deeds will you immortalize yourself in these mystical halls?

3-Star Dungeons

For those who have already mastered the 2-star dungeons, the 3-star dungeons offer the next big challenge.

3-star dungeons will be unlocked at level  55 and a minimum combat power of 3500. Join forces with your strongest allies to conquer the following 3-star dungeons. Here are some examples of the first dungeons you will encounter:

  • Bitterforst
    • According to the legends of humanity, an ogre, from whom the humans had taken everything, established his own kingdom deep in the forest. Equipped with enhanced intelligence and stature by an elf from the past, he mobilized his kind and declared war on humanity. As more and more humans disappeared in the forests, a raid group was organized to defeat King Khanzaizin, the ogre warlord. However, they too were later found as mutilated corpses.
  • Hall of Tragedy
    • A secret room is hidden in the Bercant estate. This room was created through magic when the estate was built. Later, at the behest of various princes, additional rooms were added, including a prison, a covered garden, and an audience room. Deep within the Halls of Tragedy, the great Chorizanthe Commander Limuny Bercant and his powerful warriors transformed into monstrosities through the flower curse.
  • Chapel of Madness
    • Skultus, the Grand Elder of the Sylaveth Order, secretly hypnotized his loyal followers and conducted a dreadful demon summoning ritual disguised as a worship ceremony. Skultus sacrificed them all to summon the terrible demon Grayeye, which however got out of control, forcing him to seal it underground. Grayeye, who draws strength from the fears of men, manipulates his minions to continuously offer him human sacrifices in order to break the seal.

Coveted loot such as powerful equipment sets of class  2, weapon mastery seals, Amitoi, Abyss contract mark points, and crafting materials await you. Additionally, you will receive rewards to create items that drop dimensional soul shards in every 3-star dungeon.

Revision of Weapon Mastery

Our revision of weapon mastery introduces a new level of customization on the path to your favorite weapons.

Select nodes, modify or enhance skills with key nodes, and experiment with different weapons and builds to unlock special skills for your entire arsenal. Your current weapon mastery level will be converted into experience points in the new system. Leveling up weapon mastery

  • Weapon mastery is now obtained regardless of which weapon you have equipped. Instead, the UI offers you the option to select which weapon will receive the weapon mastery points. Mastery experience can be gained through weapon mastery seals you obtained from various content. You can then freely use this experience to upgrade the weapons of your choice.
  • Weapon mastery can be increased per weapon up to level  200.

Integrated Mastery Level

  • Your integrated mastery level is the sum of all your weapon mastery levels. Unlocking integrated mastery ability slots depends on your integrated level, allowing you to activate additional abilities. Depending on your integrated mastery level, you can activate up to 4  integrated mastery abilities. These abilities apply regardless of the weapon you have equipped.

Nodes

  • Each node incurs costs for initial unlocking. There are four types of nodes: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Heroic. Nodes can be raised to a maximum of level  10.
  • Uncommon nodes can be activated by spending mastery points, Sollant, or various types of precious ore. Once the requirements are met, Uncommon nodes can be activated and then upgraded to Rare and finally Heroic nodes.
  • To activate a Heroic node, you need at least one  attack, support, defense, or tactic effect as well as 80  mastery points, or 120  points to activate two Heroic nodes simultaneously. A maximum of two  Heroic nodes can be activated at once to gain even more desirable passive benefits.

Success Effects

  • You can activate success effects in any offensive, support, defense, and tactic area by spending at least 20  mastery points in the respective area. The area in which you spend the most mastery points is prioritized upon activation. For each weapon, you can activate up to two  success effects per Common, Uncommon, and Rare grade (for a total of up to six  success effects).

Changes to Weapon Mastery Items

  • Training Dew
    • The item “Training Dew” has been converted into “Weapon Mastery Seals.” It is used immediately upon acquisition and grants mastery experience for the weapon of your choice through the leveling up UI for weapon mastery. Existing Training Dew can still be utilized with the new system but can no longer be acquired. Items exceeding maximum mastery experience cannot be acquired.

Island Nebla

The Island Nebla, which will be released after the maintenance on March 13, is a new cross-server activity for players from level  55, accessible through the “Lawless Wilds” tab of the secret dungeons.

Players can spend up to five hours there each week. They have the option to extend their time using Nebla recharge stones. The island consists of a central village and six unique regions, including a peaceful zone and four war zones where PvP is permanently activated.

Through portals in the central village, players can access various hunting grounds and collect small and large Nebla stones that can be exchanged for items. Hourly events and regular area boss fights with limited participant capacity take place on the island. Additionally, a new exclusive accessory system called artifacts has been introduced specifically for the contents of the Island Nebla.

New Artifact System

Reinvent your playstyle through unique abilities with artifact item sets.

Artifacts can be obtained from the Island Nebla and from Abyss Dungeons in Talandre. The system consists of six parts: four talisman stones, one sunstone, and one moonstone, each with unique values and effects. There are 14 different artifact sets in three grades (2  Common, 4  Uncommon, and 8  Rare), with some values determined randomly upon acquisition.

Players can activate set bonuses by equipping 2, 4, or 6 matching parts of the same set. When the sunstone is used, it grants an active ability, while the moonstone provides a passive ability.

New Life Style Contents

Experience the cozier aspects of Talandre with 24  new fish, four new fishing rods, a variety of new collectibles, 10 new cooking recipes, and new collectibles.

Players now have another reason to collect ingredients: Five types of elixirs can now be brewed: Excellent Attack/Defense Elixirs and Rare Attack/Defense/Purification Elixirs.

While exploring the area for collectibles like the Cornelian Cherry tree, your favorite Amitoi can embark on Talandre expeditions. It may even bring new rewards.

Class-2 Weapons

Master powerful class-2 weapons with unique effects to enhance your skills in any combat situation.

New class  2 weapons and armor will be gradually introduced. Items will be available through the new area bosses, Abyss dungeons, and co-op dungeons. Players can also craft specific equipment using marks they have earned from various encounters.

Milestones

Milestones are timed events that reward you and your guild with unique incentives.

The first players to complete these challenge goals receive unique loot and unlock the next activities for everyone on their server. However, if the time runs out and no one meets the milestone goal, there are no rewards, and the next series of activities will be unlocked later, based on the milestone schedule.

    • Some skills that previously had no cooldown between uses now have a short global cooldown (under 0.5  seconds) when used again.
    • Changing or removing passive skill effects, such as weapon specialization bonuses, now triggers a 15-second global cooldown in combat situations – similar to switching equipped items.
    • Ranged skills with duration now receive an additional range buffer when the target moves out of range while casting.
    • Action mode: A setting has been added to turn off automatic movement when both the left and right mouse buttons are pressed. This makes the action of the defense skill more consistent.
    • When targets are circled using the Tab key, targets are prioritized based on distance and camera direction.
    • Classic mode: The target range has been slightly increased to improve accuracy when selecting targets with mouse clicks.
    • The reduction of movement speed while characters were using attack skills has been removed to make movement in combat smoother.
    • Characters can now move at a walking pace instead of running everywhere. A new walk mode toggle has been added to the available key assignments.
    • The number of action locks after using movement skills has been reduced.
    • The movement of movement skills has been improved to ensure that characters get stuck less frequently in the terrain when used.
    • The player camera can now rotate during certain movement skills that previously blocked the camera angle.
    • The direction control while jumping has been improved.
    • A setting has been added that allows players to ignore allied targets when clicking to aim.
    • Character inertia has been reduced: Direction changes during movement are now implemented more quickly.
    • Amitoi can now pick up dropped items even if their owner is suffering from a CC effect and cannot move.
    • The effective ranges of the “Charge” and “Close Distance” skills have been slightly adjusted to maintain the same distance after the changes to melee weapon attack range.
    • Displayed damage text: The font for the floating damage text has been changed. The color and animation of the floating text for critical hits and heavy attacks have been adjusted. The text is no longer displayed at the location of the hit.

Schedule for Wilderness of Talandre Siege

    • The castle siege originally scheduled for March 9 has been cancelled to give players time to experience the Talandre content on merged servers.
    • The next castle siege will now take place on March 23. Castle defenders will be chosen on March 21.
    • The tax transport event scheduled for March 16 has also been cancelled. The next time window for the tax transport event will take place after the siege on March 23.
    • Tax transport: Future tax transport events will take place at a standard, system-defined time rather than being up to guilds to determine. The planned tax transport event will occur on non-siege weeks at 8:00 PM (server time zone).

    New Weekly Missions System

    • The new Weekly Missions system replaces the previous Weekly Rewards menu and offers over 15  different activities in which you can earn weekly reward points. By collecting these points, you receive items.
    • You can collect more weekly points than are required to unlock all weekly rewards. This is to give players the freedom to choose which activities they want to complete.
    • Available missions include PvE, PvP, and life style activities. Over time, new missions will be introduced.

    Mark Merge

    • Abyss coins and dimensional soul shards will be converted into two classes of universal marks: Class-1 and Class-2 marks.
    • Existing Abyss coins and dimensional soul shards in possession will be converted into Class-1 marks with this update.
      • Soul shards (1  star) – 1x Class-1 mark
      • Soul shards (2  stars) – 2x Class-1 marks
      • Expected: 2x Class-1 marks
      • Abyss coins – 1x Class-1 mark
      • Dimensional Essence: Redemption – 60x Class-1 marks
      • Random player search reward (1  star) – 1x Class-1 mark, 7  % chance of 60x Class-1 marks
      • Soul shard selection chests (1  star) – 1x Class-1 mark
      • Random player search reward (2  stars) – 2x Class-1 marks, 7  % chance of 24x Class-1 marks
      • Soul shard selection chests (2  stars) – 2x Class-1 marks
      • 12x Soul shard selection chests (2  stars) – 24x Class-1 marks
    • Co-op dungeons and Abyss dungeon contracts now grant Class-1 or Class-2 marks, depending on the class of activities you complete.
    • Marks are now available in the arena shop as well as in the new Weekly Missions menu.

    Equipment Synchronization

    • To bring more flexibility and experimentation to character builds, a new equipment synchronization system helps to share equipment progress among items. Only the equipment level will be synchronized. Attributes will still be unique to each piece.
    • Once an equipment item has been brought to the max level (+9 for Class  1, +12 for Class  2), it can serve as an “anchor piece” for other items in that slot type.
    • Up to two assigned slots for equipment synchronization can be unlocked per slot type. Unlocking slots costs growth stones and Sollant.
    • Additional equipment items in these synchronization slots function as upgrade versions of this item at max level, as long as they are equipped.
    • Synchronised equipment can be swapped for other items in the slot at any time.

    War Games

    • Teams no longer need to select three team leaders to start the game. At least one team leader must be designated.
    • A start countdown has been added to the beginning of battles.
    • While waiting for the preparation of war games, players are removed from the lobby if they enter a dungeon waiting list or arena fight. Additionally, players in group search or arena fight queues leave their respective queues when joining a war games lobby.
    • The calculation of damage and healing in the value table of war games has been improved. Players who have not dealt or received damage will now also be listed.
    • Further improvements have been made in the war games UI for managing team members and leaders.

    Weapons

    Sword and Shield

    • Shield Attack, Piercing Strike: A bug has been fixed that incorrectly applied the “chance for strong melee attack” effect when skills hit.
    • Resilient Spirit: Adjusted to regain a certain amount of mana from blocked damage when blocking with Shield Block or Shield Survival technique, up to a maximum of 30 times per use of the Shield Survival technique for recovery of health and mana.
    • Resilient Spirit: A problem has been fixed where the amount of health restored was low when evading attacks temporarily or blocking with Shield Block or Shield Survival technique.
    • Shield Survival technique: Changed so that health restoration is only applied once when Wutang attacks are repelled.
    • Steadfast Bastion: A problem has been fixed where the skill effect “Unyielding Will” and the skill effect “Recharge” were not activated when the specialization “Steadfast Ego” was active.
    • Strategic Charge: Now deals damage to hidden opponents and interrupts the stealth when hit. If the target is immune to collision: Push, only the damage from the skill is applied.
    • Spectrum of Torment: Adjusted so that the duration until triggering the effects “Provocative Roar” or “Tearing Roar” when dealing damage to affected targets is applied up to three times per second.
    • Aegis Shield: The increase in magic defense per shield block has been removed.

    Greatsword

    • Ascending Strike: A bug has been fixed where knockdown effects from collision were not applied when the wand skill “Deep Nightmare” was active.

    Daggers

    • Blade Block: A problem has been fixed where movement speed increased when a perfect blade blocker was executed.
    • Shadowy Spirit: The maximum number of applications per skill has been limited to 30.
    • Deadly Stigma: The specialization effect “Area Damage” now ignores the chance for shield blocks.
    • Shadow Runner: Effect duration is now 4  seconds.

    Crossbows

    • Capturing: The effect “Melee Dodge” has been removed.

    Staff

    • Row Fire Bombs: A bug has been fixed where the specialization “Range Increase” was not activated when the target died while using row fire bombs or focused fire bombs.
    • Infernal Meteor: A bug has been fixed, which occasionally caused this skill not to hit targets on different heights.
    • Infernal Meteor and Infernal Fire Rain now ignores the chance for shield blocks.
    • Frostmaster: A problem has been fixed where this skill occasionally did not activate when there was a height difference.

    Wand and Tome

    • Curse Explosion: A bug has been fixed that removed only one stack of burning when using “Curse Explosion.”

    • Cursed Nightmare: A problem has been fixed where the specialization “Enhanced Nightmare” did not apply the timed bomb debuff to targets.

    • Resolute Sharpshooter: The specialization “Piercing Barrage” now has a “Shield Block Penetration” effect.

    Arch Bosses and Area Bosses

    • In area boss encounters, players can now choose from three portal options: Peace, Faction, and Guild. Peace portals function like the default open PvE versions of boss encounters. These new portals utilize player searches from all servers in your region.
    • Peace portals lead to a PvE combat instance, which retains previously created groups upon entry.
    • Faction portals lead to a PvPvE combat instance, where players are randomly assigned to one of the two faction teams. Groups created beforehand are maintained within this faction search.
    • Guild portals pit two guilds against each other in a GvG combat instance. Guilds must join with a minimum of 36 and a maximum of 48  players to face off against other guilds. If an odd number of guilds attempts to join the fight, there may be a 1v1v1.
    • Arch bosses now have peace and faction portals that behave like the peace and faction portals at area bosses. However, they also retain their world version of the fight for the alliance vs. alliance competition.
    • Two arch bosses now spawn in the same designated arch boss slot to provide players with more opportunities to participate.
    • Area bosses now keep a recorded contribution, even if the boss is reset during the fight.
    • Arch Boss’s weapons of Bellandir and Tevent have been strengthened to keep up with class-2 equipment.

Daylight Saving Time Transition – North America

On March 9, daylight saving time will take effect in the North American server regions.

    • Please note that your local time shifts back one hour with daylight saving time and remains set at 08:00 UTC.
    • Dynamic events, disruption stone/blessing stone, bosses, tax delivery, and castle siege will be adjusted to maintain their current local time zone, and the planned schedule will be displayed in the in-game schedule.
    • Combat pass, arena, weekly missions, and NPCs will take place one hour later on North American servers but will remain at 08:00 UTC.

    Cooldowns for Server Transfers

    • Players can purchase free tickets for server transfers until March 13. These tickets expire 24 hours after purchase.
    • Transfers before the server maintenance on March 13 will trigger a 24-hour timer before another transfer is possible.
    • After server maintenance on March 13, all transfer cooldowns will be reset one last time, and transfer tickets will be sold again at the normal price, subject to the standard cooldown of 30 days.

    Update on Stacking Abyss Chests

We have identified an issue with abyss chests that can be won through nightly PvP on the Island of Saurodoma and in the Shadow Crypt, which allows players to accumulate these chests beyond the intended amount.

To ensure fair conditions upon the release of Talandre, the following changes have been made:

    • Players can now receive a maximum of 65 abyss chests.
    • All chests exceeding this limit will be removed with this update.
    • For each removed chest, players will receive 1x Class-1 mark as compensation.
    • Class-1 marks are used to craft Class-1 equipment or ability unlocking stones.
    • The remaining up to 65 chests will expire on March 13.

We understand that this may not be the best news for some players, and we apologize for the frustration this may cause. However, these chests were never intended to be able to be accumulated in such quantities. We believe this measure is necessary to maintain balance and fairness for all players in the future.

    Items

    • The timer for the selection chest: Dimension contract mark has been increased from 1 day to 3 days.
    • Active and passive skill growth books have been merged into a single type of growth book.
    • Processed and common Marind have been merged into a single item type to reduce inventory burden.
    • Training dew was replaced with weapon mastery seals as part of the weapon specialization revision.

    General

    • The storage inventory can now be upgraded to include 500 item slots.
    • A setting has been added to prevent your characters from executing a forced stop when casting stationary skills while moving.
    • A setting has been added to adjust the behavior of transformation usage between a toggle and hold interaction. In toggle mode, transformations will not be automatically canceled if you stop moving.
    • The arena shop now offers new Class-2 marks for purchase weekly.
    • Practice dummies are now present in guild bases.
    • Dynamic events: For events below level  45, dominance versions have been removed from the schedule.
    • Dynamic events: Performance scaling removed.
    • The localization of the Japanese language has received an improvement pass, focusing on the description of combat skills.

    Dungeons and Instances

    • Chamber of Screams: Kaligras now only spawns three ghosts throughout the fight.
    • Chamber of Screams: Some mechanics in this dungeon have been reworked to make it more accessible. The guardian transformation sequence has been removed. Each player can now interact with the wall symbols. Scream collection devices can no longer be destroyed by zombies in their respective section.
    • Portal of Infinity: The rewards for the “Portal of Infinity” challenges have been increased.
    • For the foreseeable future, we have increased the spawn rate for all main story and abyss dungeon mobs to support the increased activity during the Talandre launch window.

    UI

    • A feature has been added to adjust the scaling or size of certain UI elements (e.g. the mini-map) in the HUD editor.
    • Chat: The total number of default tabs in the chat window UI has been reduced. A “New Tab” button has been integrated directly into the chat UI to create and customize additional chat tabs.
    • Automatic command completions have been added when entering “/commands” in the chat window.
    • Guild: The context menu option “Leave Guild” no longer appears when clicking specific areas of the guild members’ list.
    • Guild: A history tab has been added that displays guild actions and activities.
    • Guild: The ability to donate your maximum remaining donation amount in a category with a single click has been added, rather than having to click for each remaining donation amount individually.
    • Guild: The color of the guild skill status text has been adjusted to highlight the active guild skill more clearly.
    • Guild: The permissions for various guild actions have been moved into a single “Manage Settings” menu.
    • Guild: Items in the distribution section are now displayed as lithography book symbols when you can add them to your lithography book.
    • A key assignment has been added to open the group management window.
    • Console: The ring menu is now supported for quick access to emotes, transformations, and other social interactions. You can customize ring menu slots through the new ring menu section in the main menu.

    • Training dew was replaced with weapon mastery seals as part of the weapon specialization revision.

    • Guild: A history tab has been added that displays guild actions and activities.
    • Guild: The ability to donate your maximum remaining donation amount in a category with a single click has been added, rather than having to click for each remaining donation amount individually.
