In Throne and Liberty, you need to find Paola’s research journals in the game. They are scattered throughout the dungeons. MyMMO provides you with all the locations for your Research Journal.
Where are Paola’s research journals? After you reach the village of “Vienta” and complete chapter four of the main quest, the exploration quest with Paola’s research journals will soon appear.
You will find the NPC Paola in the north of “Vienta” and are allowed to interact with her after completing chapter four. There you will start the quest. Afterwards, you need to find three research journals. According to the quest description, these are scattered in the cooperative dungeons “Ghost Abyss”, “Rumbling Temple”, and “Wailing Undercroft”.
However, the last dungeon must be a translation error, as you will certainly not discover the last research journal in the “Wailing Undercroft” because there is no cooperative dungeon by that name. Instead, you will find the journal in the cooperative dungeon “Cave of Despair”. MyMMO has the exact locations for you.

Where is the dimensional circle?
You will find the dimensional circle to collect Paola’s research journals far in the north of “Vienta”. It is located above the “Group Bulletin Board” and “at the shrine of Vienta”, and you just need to follow the path upwards. Next to the NPC Paola, the dimensional circle glows in a striking violet.
It is even easier if you press the “ESC”, “F11” key, or on the controller/console with the hamburger button to open the menu. There you will see under “Content” also “Cooperative Dungeons”. From there, you can also enter the dimensional circle when you “enter” one of the dungeons. By the way, it is not necessary to complete the dungeon for the quest; the journals are just lying around, and you only need to pick them up.
If you mark the quest with a star, it is much easier to find the journals, as they will be marked with a star in the dungeon when you are near.
Paola’s research journal in the “Ghost Abyss” – Part One
The first journal can be found in the level-20 cooperative dungeon “Ghost Abyss”. For this, you must go left after the large entrance hall along the corridor. So you are heading directly towards it. However, you will reach a gate that is locked. You must first defeat the mini-map boss to open the gate.
Once you are through, the first journal is located directly behind the gate at a kind of window with bars on the left side of the floor. You need to pick it up by interacting with the book using the “F key”. On the DualSense controller, you press the square, on the Xbox controller the X button.
Thus, you have completed the first part and can theoretically leave the dungeon if you do not want to fight the boss.
Paola’s research journal in the “Rumbling Temple” – Part Two
The second journal is hidden a bit deeper in the level-30 cooperative dungeon “Rumbling Temple”. You must first defeat some monsters, including another mini-map boss, and trigger various mechanisms. After you pass through two chambers that have been flooded, you will come to an elevation from which you must jump down. However, some lava columns are spewing from the ground, which you should avoid.
Once you land safely, the journal is located directly sharply left in the corridor after the lava room on a barrel. You just need to pick it up, and then you have completed the second part of the quest.
Paola’s research journal in the “Cave of Despair” – Part Three
The last journal is located in the level-40 cooperative dungeon “Cave of Despair” and is actually the fastest to find.
You just need to enter the dungeon, go to the first level using the “F key” (PS5: Square; Xbox: X button), walk down the corridor, and at the end of the path, take the left corridor. There you will find the last journal all the way to the left in the corner of the room.
