There are increasing reports from several launch servers of Throne and Liberty, that entire guilds from the early access phase are said to have appeared, which are now destroying the local community and the economy – a failure by Amazon Games seems to make this possible.
What is this loophole? When Amazon Games presented the plans for the early launch and the final launch of Throne and Liberty, they sounded well thought out:
- Early access and free-to-play players each receive their own servers.
- Anyone who wishes to start voluntarily on an early access server at launch can do so. A server transfer is also possible.
- Transfers from early access worlds to launch servers are to be blocked for a certain period of time.
- The auction houses of the different server types are also separate.
The goal: Early access players and guilds should not be able to gain a significant advantage over the launch participants due to their several days head start and bring this advantage onto the launch servers – which would negatively affect the communities and the economy there.
But what good are plans if they can be circumvented by players?! Currently, reports are increasing (for example, here on Reddit or here on Reddit), that some launch servers are being flooded with fully equipped characters from the early access phase – apparently because Amazon Games failed to block exactly these transfers despite the announcement.

Communities on the brink
How do the transfers impact the game? In several ways:
- Players from the early access server bring equipment to the launch servers that are not available there yet or have only been available in very limited numbers. This directly affects the economy and gear progression of the server.
- If entire guilds or even alliances from multiple guilds switch to a server, they can immediately dominate all rankings, all PvP content, and guild activities there due to their equipment advantage.
Additionally, there are frequent accusations that these transferring guilds not only purposefully undermined the clearly communicated restrictions from Amazon Games, but they are also allegedly using bots and auto-farming tools across the board to farm around the clock in certain areas like open-world dungeons.
How are the affected communities reacting? The power and effectiveness of such guilds in Throne and Liberty are so great that many affected individuals are now considering transfers themselves.
- BringBackSoule writes in his post on Reddit: “How do you combat a single guild with tons of alts that just takes over a server because alliances work that way? It makes it extremely difficult to do anything in PvP. The whole guild is thinking about transferring servers.”
- xswicex paints a grim future (via Reddit): “We all knew this would happen eventually. I never expected to have more than a month or two from this game. Every server will be like this, so don’t bother transferring, enjoy it while it lasts, and then move on.”
- Stevens97 writes (via Reddit): “This was due to a bug, and on many servers, there is now EA stuff with items that aren’t even unlocked on normal servers, ruining entire servers… I hope they send them back to their EA servers.”
Regarding the thesis about the bug, DeadInMyCar writes on Reddit:
No, this is pure negligence on Amazon’s part. I pressed the refresh button for 30 minutes and was probably one of the first to switch from EA to F2P. And there was a gap of 6 to 8 hours between the time I came to the F2P server and the time Amazon said something and blocked transfers. People reported it in their Discord. I did that as soon as I got in and asked if that was normal. So the reports were there.
Guilds that extensively use bots exist even without these transfers. SleepingFishOCE reports on Reddit about a particularly extreme guild on the Japanese server Alexia that is taking away the proverbial air to breathe from other communities: “The server is dying, most of the larger guilds have already left, and the smaller ones are gradually leaving too.”
