Similar to Lost Ark, more and more bot users are also roaming around in Throne and Liberty. Now, Amazon Games has taken its first countermeasure and has addressed the issue to MeinMMO.
What does Amazon Games’ countermeasure look like? MeinMMO has reported multiple times about the rising number of bot users in Throne and Liberty. Now there has been the publisher’s first measure against the cheating accounts.
On X, the responsible parties of Throne and Liberty stated: “Today we have imposed a series of bans on accounts suspected of operating bots in Throne and Liberty. We will continue to monitor activities and act against all malicious actors who want to negatively impact our players’ experience.
Maintaining a fair and equitable gaming environment for all players is our top priority. We thank you for your understanding and support while we work to maintain the integrity of our games.”
Unfortunately, Amazon Games did not reveal how many accounts were banned.

How did Amazon Games respond to MeinMMO? After the launch of the MMORPG, we had the opportunity to ask the publisher some questions, and of course, the topic of bots came up. Specifically, we wanted to know what measures are planned to ensure that the bots in Throne and Liberty do not negatively affect the players’ experience.
Daniel Lafuente, Globalization Design Manager at Amazon Games, addressed this question. His complete answer:
Our goal is to always preserve the integrity of the gaming experience for legitimate players. Many MMOs struggle with bots, and Throne and Liberty is no different. The fight against these malicious actors is our highest priority. Even though the bot videos you described attract a lot of attention, our data shows that the impacts at this early stage are still quite limited.
We are proactively taking measures to combat bots on multiple fronts. On the one hand, we have learned important lessons from dealing with bot and RMT issues in our other live games to stay one step ahead of the developments.
Our detection and banning systems are more robust than ever, but we are also striving to adjust the underlying game systems and economic systems that enable bots to proliferate in the first place. We want to cut off potential profit opportunities to discourage botters before they even start working.
We have a special task force actively monitoring the situation and researching new countermeasures daily. We are committed to quickly improving and evolving our anti-bot strategies through a combination of technological improvements, economic balance, and good old-fashioned policing by our Game Masters.
Our goal is to deliver a decisive first strike against potential waves of bots and send a clear message – that disruptive, experience-damaging behavior in Throne and Liberty will not be tolerated.

Most of them have 3000+ gear power, they use autoblock in PvP, and they have a higher movement speed than anyone else. They literally do everything these bot programs offer, and they are still in the game. These bot programs offer not only auto-farming.”
