The developers of Throne and Liberty have detailed the improvements they have made since the open beta in July to offer the best possible launch version for the West.
What can we expect at launch? When the early access of Throne and Liberty starts on September 26, 2024, and the official launch servers of the MMORPG go online on October 1, 2024, you can expect a version of the online role-playing game that has received numerous improvements and adjustments since the open beta in July 2024.
These are significantly based on the feedback from Western players, while the Korean version of Throne and Liberty, which has been live since December 2023, has also received various optimizations and innovations. All interested parties can therefore expect a version of Throne and Liberty that differs significantly from the launch version from Korea.

“Your needs and preferences determine our course”
What has been improved? In a letter on the official website (via playthroneandliberty.com), the developers explain what their focus was on after the Korea release for the launch in the West.
Since then, the leveling system has been revised to improve the rhythm of your journey to Solisium. We have introduced a better information and guidance system to help players learn the game. Additionally, there is a better rhythm for system introductions and a variety of immersive quest types that go beyond simply killing monsters. The equipment progression has also been improved. Higher levels now grant a meaningful power increase and a more generous reward structure during leveling and beyond.
We have particularly focused on the diversity of combat and builds. To this end, we introduced ability specialization for in-depth customization, an increased ability cap of 24 active abilities per weapon combination, armor sets with passive bonuses, an option to customize the camera motion, and an overhauled combat system with artistic shots and permanent CC breakers (Crowd Control = group control). The game with a controller has been revised with improved camera control and optimized execution of abilities.
In the further course of the letter, the developers explain that various balancing adjustments have also been made for PvP content and systems. Crafting materials are no longer tradable. The drop rate in certain content has been increased to make solo play more worthwhile. Additionally, the activities through which you can earn real money currency have been improved.
What is completely new? New implemented features, modes, and content include:
- 3vs3 arena as a new PvP mode
- Co-op dungeons and the content “Portal of Infinity” for PvE fans
- Amitoi expeditions
- lifestyle activities fishing and cooking
- photo mode
- merging auction houses to improve economic stability
- cross-server party search
- abolition of experience penalties and debuffs on death
