Of course, you can’t play Throne and Liberty wrong, but sometimes it’s helpful to consciously skip things to benefit later. If you don’t follow one of the tips, your character is not broken, but it may take longer to obtain the perfect gear.
Tip No. 1: No Dungeons before Level 50
Why shouldn’t I do that? The biggest trap in the game comes from the main quest. This requires you to complete one of the dungeons in the game as part of one of the side branches. These also provide quite a lot of experience points and upgrade materials.
Although they sound tempting, you shouldn’t open the chest with the loot at the end of the dungeon. Opening the chest costs you “Dimensional Contract Tokens,” a currency you need for looting in dungeons.
Every day you receive 900 tokens. Those who grab it at the beginning may enjoy the loot from the dungeon for a short time, but will later regret it when there are dungeons with endgame loot where your tokens would be better spent.

Tip No. 2: Contracts take time and are only worth it later
What should I consider regarding contracts? Another tip is to avoid doing contracts as much as possible. The contracts are a kind of additional side quest that you are also “forced” into in the main story. Aside from that, it’s better to stay away from them until you have reached the maximum level later.
Here too, the so-called “Contracts Rights” fill up only a little daily, so you should save these to use them at level 50. Later, the contracts simply provide better rewards, and you can do more of them at once when you have saved the necessary currency.
Tip No. 3: If you do contracts, choose the right rewards
Which rewards should I choose? Among the rewards from the contracts, there are always coins included alongside the typical loot that you can use at the nearby vendor. Here, you should primarily buy the “Mystic Keys” with which you can open hidden treasure chests in the open world.
You can only buy 5 “Mystic Keys” per day. Once you have bought your 5 keys, you should use your remaining coins for the upgrade materials for your gear, weapons, and jewelry. You can initially ignore all other items in the shop as they will either only be useful later or never at all.
Tip No. 4: Save your solo dungeons
You also need to be careful with solo dungeons: In Throne and Liberty, you can run through the Taedal’s Tower starting at level 15. There, you fight alone against various bosses that unlock gradually as you reach a higher level and defeat the previous boss.
The bosses provide you with a lot of experience points but are also somewhat challenging, especially if you do them right after reaching the level for their unlock.
You should certainly do these dungeons during your leveling phase, but it’s best to wait until you need to level to 50 for the main story. Then you can defeat almost all bosses without issues and quickly level up through the many experience points.
Tip No. 5: You should regularly visit dungeons in the open world
Why should one regularly visit the dungeons? In the open world dungeons, there is loot, experience points, and many monsters to grind. However, to receive rewards there, you need a different currency, the Abyssal Contract Tokens. These are used in the game to enable you to receive rewards in the open-world dungeon.
You can grind the dungeons alone or with friends and receive loot as long as you have the tokens. But be careful: when night falls, the open-world dungeons in Throne and Liberty become a path area, and entire guilds are just waiting to take you down.
