Chinese fans of Genshin Impact have besieged numerous branches of the fast-food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken. The reason was a free pin with every order.
This is what is happening in China: KFC offered fans of Genshin Impact a very special promotion. They had to say the phrase “Meet in another world, enjoy delicious food” when placing their order to receive a pin of Diluc or Noelle.
The rush for these pins was enormous, with thousands of Chinese people storming the branches of KFC. Various videos and pictures appeared on Twitter showing long lines in front of the stores.
Genshin Impact pins drive fans crazy
What exactly is behind the pin promotion? These pins are not the only goodies related to Genshin Impact currently available at KFC. The promotion also includes benefits for Genshin Impact itself. KFC customers receive special in-game recipes and a glider suit.
Since this weekend, there are also the pins that you get, which create a real hype and make thousands of fans wait for hours for their order.

Some fans spent whole nights in front of the KFC branches to get the pin. In some cities, the police dispersed the crowds as they did not adhere to hygiene regulations.
Why is there this rush? Genshin Impact is a huge success not only in Germany. Especially the fact that it can also be played on smartphones attracts Asian fans.
Additionally, Diluc is particularly popular among fans of Genshin Impact. Since its release, this character has been among the best fighters in the game and is frequently used in battles. Free items for Diluc are therefore well-received.
This promotion also ran in the USA and caused a massive rush there. In many places, the cards were sold out within a few hours or days.
Will this come to Germany as well? So far, there has been no mention of it. However, it has been announced that the exclusive glider available with the KFC order will be obtainable worldwide later. However, how to obtain the glider is still unknown.
