In Fortnite, there are currently different Battle Passes due to various modes, but you have to level them all up individually. However, from December 1st, this should come to an end.
What has been announced? Epic Games revealed a new blog post about changes to your Fortnite passes on fortnite.com. According to this, the current Battle Pass currencies like stars are set to be abolished. Instead, a cohesive XP system will be implemented, in which all Battle Passes can benefit from. We will explain the system to you.
One mode for all Battle Passes is enough
What will change? As mentioned earlier, Battle Pass currencies like the stars from Battle Royale will be removed. The currencies from the LEGO and Festival Passes will also be eliminated. These currencies will be replaced by a simple XP system that connects all passes together.
This means that if you own all the passes available in the current season, it will be enough for you to just play one of the known modes and earn XP there. The XP you earn will then be added to all the passes you own.
So, if you want to earn a new singer from the Festival Pass as a skin but don’t feel like playing Festival? Then it’s enough for you to earn XP in any mode.
This will save many players time and nerves who want to grab all the rewards from any activities. The grind can sometimes be very time-consuming, but this way you can focus more on having fun.
Can I still freely choose my rewards? Yes, you can. As with the current Battle Pass model, you will have the option to choose your rewards to a certain extent.
How exactly the new system will look has not yet been demonstrated by Epic Games, but we will keep you updated. You can find more information about Fortnite: Remix or OG: 2 here in our overview: Fortnite: When does Chapter 5 Season 4 end? Everything about the live event and the start of Season: OG 2
