Valve has now announced its own service for capturing your statistics in Counter Strike: Global Offensive with CS:GO 360 Stats. Unlike other providers, this will cost money. MeinMMO summarizes everything important for you.
What exactly does Valve want to offer? With CS:GO 360 Stats, Valve aims to provide an official platform for your statistics from Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
This is a kind of subscription service for which players have to pay a fixed monthly amount. The subscription will automatically renew for another month as long as it is not terminated by the players.
In the official FAQ about 360 Stats (via steampowered.com), it states that all important data from matches in game modes such as Competitive, Premier, and Wingman will be recorded.
However, data will only be captured during the period you have subscribed to the 360 Stats service. Unofficial game modes are also excluded.
What will it cost? According to the FAQ, it should cost one US dollar per month. The price is expected to be directly converted into the currency of other countries. This currently leaves open whether the amount will be a Euro or a direct currency conversion. The current rate is 83 cents. Refunds of the price are excluded.
The catch is: There are platforms like csgostats.gg or Leetify.com that offer free, fan-provided services. Is it worth switching to Valve and its paid CS:GO 360 Stats?

Players’ enthusiasm is limited – “Don’t waste your money on this”
Is Valve’s service worth it? On reddit, there are hardly any supporters of Valve’s offer. Most players there agree: The paid platform offers no added value compared to the free alternatives.
- GuariaNIsBae says: “I don’t think many people will pay for this when the other sites track better stats like KAST and show you how you performed in a specific match.” (via reddit.com)
- locsoe simply states: “Don’t waste your money on this.” (via reddit.com)
- CJNC expresses a similar sentiment: “Haha, what the hell. csgostats and leetify are both free and give you double the information that this crap does. (reddit.com)
Many echo similar sentiments. Numerous players agree: Valve’s offer cannot compete with those from the free providers. Thus, others are now worried: Could Valve take action against the free providers?
This is being discussed, and there is no clear answer to this. Some doubt that this will happen. Because for that, Valve would probably have to make extensive changes to the basic game of CS:GO, which many see as unrealistic.
Some suspect that Valve may be working on a more comprehensive premium subscription and that CS:GO 360 Stats is just the beginning. It remains to be seen how the situation and the stats page will develop over time.
What do you think of Valve’s move? Do you see a chance for the paid offer? Or do you agree with the critics? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
