The German developer Realmforge Studios has announced the release date for the fourth part of their dungeon management series. “Dungeons 4” will be released on November 9 of this year and is especially at the top of the list for fans of the series.
What is Dungeons 4? In this game, you build your own dungeon and command the evil creatures that inhabit it.
To dominate your creatures, you must fulfill their needs. Therefore, build the appropriate rooms in your dungeon and manage your troops so that everyone is satisfied.
Because only then can you send your creatures to the overworld to really kick the “good guys” in the backside and expand your rule.
What does the trailer show? The displayed gameplay is strongly reminiscent of the classic “Dungeon Keeper”, with better and more colorful graphics.
You can see ogres and goblins tearing down walls in your dungeon to create new rooms. These can be divided into small squares, allowing you to determine the shape and size of the individual rooms. Then use these rooms to meet the creatures’ needs by, for example, using them as sleeping quarters or dining rooms.
Your dungeon also needs training rooms to strengthen your troops and prepare them for battle. Because as seen in the trailer, your dungeon is not a safe fortress if you don’t take care of it yourself. Protect yourself with various and properly placed traps from the attacks of the overworld dwellers.
The trailer gives you only a shorter glimpse into the design of your dungeon and then focuses on the dynamic overworld, which seems to be playable in this part.
In the overworld, you fight battles against “the good” and conquer them piece by piece. In the trailer, you see your creatures going after knights, unicorns, and defenseless citizens, setting market stalls on fire and taking fortresses.
When is it coming out? Dungeons 4 will be released on November 9 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
