PvP plays an important role in the mobile game Diablo Immortal as it is part of the endgame and gives you access to a major raid. The developers have now presented this aspect of the game in more detail.
What is the focus in PvP? In the endgame of Diablo Immortal, it’s about earning the Crown of Eternity in the cycle of conflict. This offers you some benefits, such as participating in raids and accessing the Chamber of the Immortals. However, the road to this goal in PvP is long.

PvP and endgame go hand in hand in Diablo Immortal
Here’s how to qualify for the endgame: To participate in the cycle of conflict, you first need to qualify. This happens through battlefields. In these battlefields, you fight in 8 versus 8 skirmishes. You register with the captain of the battlefield in Westmark, whom you can find at the lookout of the Immortals.
Now you must decide whether to be an attacker or defender or if you want the game to randomly assign you to a team. This will earn you more valuable rewards. As an attacker, you must escort Passionate Idols to destroy the Ancient Heart. The defenders must prevent this and eliminate both the Idols and the attackers.
Here’s how to fight for the Crown of Eternity: If you have fought your way to a place in the cycle of conflict through the battlefields, you will first join the adventurer faction. Now daily quests await you that you must complete. Once you have mastered enough of these tasks, you may switch to the Shadow faction and then participate in the fight for the crown.
As Shadows, you must initiate the Ritual of Banishment. However, who gets to do this will be decided among the Shadows. You gather in groups to form a so-called Dark House. Now it’s time to fulfill contracts that raise your standing and rank:
- Plunder the Chamber – You must try to break into the Chamber of the Immortals and steal something
- Path of Blood – You prove your worth in solo fights against particularly nasty demons
Once you have proven yourself, you will participate in an assembly. These assemblies take place every Wednesday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Here, based on Akeba’s challenge, it will be decided which Dark House can participate in the fight for the Crown of Eternity. The goal is to defeat three powerful, ancient warriors.
Now the Ritual of Banishment takes place. Here you fight in PvP against the faction of the Immortals. If the Shadows are victorious, they take the place of the Immortals, and the leader sits on the throne and receives the Crown of Eternity.
How exactly this PvP fight plays out, the developers of Diablo Immortal will reveal at a later time.
What happens after the fight? The new Immortals can now complete special tasks to obtain the resource Essentia. With this, they “purchase” access to Kion’s Trial, a raid for 48 players that promises particularly valuable rewards and an important buff. Additionally, the Chamber of the Immortals must be protected from raids.
The cycle of conflict then starts over again when a Dark House of the Shadows can initiate a new Ritual of Banishment.
How does this affect the ongoing gameplay? As the leader of the Immortals, you receive Daedess’s blessing through the raid Kion’s Trial, along with loot. This is a strengthening effect for the Elder Rifts. Additionally, your Chamber of the Immortals will be filled.
This strengthening effect for the Elder Rifts is important for the ongoing gameplay. The portals, known in English as “Elder Rifts”, are repeatable, randomly generated instances. In these, you must kill enemies similar to the Nephalem Rifts from Diablo 3 to summon a boss.
During the runs through the Elder Rifts, you will find emblems. You use these to make the rifts harder. This way, you then receive runes. These runes, in turn, are necessary for crafting legendary gems. The gems provide you with important bonuses that enhance your character.
It is therefore essential to run through the Elder Rifts. With the strengthening effect that you receive as the leader of the Immortals, it becomes easier for you to obtain the runes and thus the important legendary gems. This means, if you want to level up quickly and become powerful, you essentially cannot avoid obtaining the strengthening effect in the PvP of Diablo Immortal.
