Evolving Drapfel and Schlapfel
What do I need for the evolution? Since the start of the event, you can find apples on the map. By clicking on them, you can either get a Pokémon encounter, which can also be Knapfel, a sweet apple, or a sour apple.
To evolve Knapfel into Drapfel, you need 200 Knapfel candies and 20 sour apples.
If you want to obtain a Knapfel, you also need 200 Knapfel candies and additionally 20 sweet apples.
If you want to evolve Knapfel into both forms, you will need a total of 400 Knapfel candies as well as 20 sweet and 20 sour apples.
Are the Pokémon available as Shiny? No, currently Knapfel and its evolutions are not available as Shiny in Pokémon GO.
Faster Evolutions Thanks to Moss Lure Module
How can I perform the evolutions faster? Basically, if you want to obtain both evolutions, it is important to click on all the apples you see on the map. Additionally, you should use Sanan berries for all encounters with Knapfel to increase the number of candies you receive when catching.
The apples on the map also appear more frequently near moss lure modules. You should use these if you want to get even more apples and thereby increase your chances of Knapfel encounters and the two types of apples.
Why is the weekend worth it? You should primarily use moss lure modules during events where the duration of lure modules is extended. This is the case during community days, for example. The next C-Day takes place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
If you activate a moss lure module during this time, it will last for a whole 3 hours and can bring you some additional apples, allowing you to acquire the necessary candies and apples faster to perform both evolutions.
Additionally, the “Sweet Discoveries” event is also running over the weekend, allowing you to receive double the amount of candies for every Pokémon caught. If you also use regular or silver Sanan berries, you can earn a substantial amount of candies for each Knapfel caught.
By using the regular Sanan berry, you receive 12 candies, while the silver Sanan berry gives you as many as 14 candies for each captured specimen.
