New feature for the GW2 expansion and a new MMORPG that looks like WoW
This is what happened in the major MMORPGs:
- WoW finally announced the release date for Patch 9.2, and it is closer than expected. Also, there was a fan video showcasing how beautiful WoW could look with modern graphics.
- Last week in ESO, there was a curious bug that caused players to get stuck in a dungeon.
- Guild Wars 2 introduced the new Jade-Bots. Furthermore, a significant overhaul of the endgame content was announced (via GW2).
- New World released a patch again this week. Additionally, new server merges were announced, and there was a bug concerning the Valentine skins in the shop.
This is what happened in the smaller MMORPGs:
- Mortal Online 2 has been struggling with extremely long queues since its release.
- SWTOR will release its new expansion next week. In line with this, we summarized the story from the launch until today.
- Element Quest was a new MMORPG reminiscent of Avatar, The Last Airbender. However, after 2 months on Steam, it must now shut down.
- EverQuest and EverQuest 2 have kicked off their Valentine’s events (via MassivelyOP).
- In Blade & Soul, there is a new solo dungeon (via Blade&Soul).
- ArcheAge announced its first major patch for 2022 for March and a new area for Summer 2022 (via ArcheAge).
This is what happened in the MMORPGs in development:
- Into the Echo is a new game revolving around time travel and will start its pre-alpha in March.
- Ateron was announced, a new game that looks like WoW but offers NFTs.
- The social MMO Palia is ready for alpha testing, but will only conduct it under NDA (via Palia).
- Past Fate, a Kickstarter MMORPG, is revising its starting area (via Steam).
