Blizzard has released a new update for WoW Classic. This update concerns the order in which content will be released. Fans are generally excited about it.
This update is about: In the official World of Warcraft forum, the community manager Toschayju has commented on the release phases of WoW Classic. It was already clear beforehand that not all content would be available at the launch of Classic.
Originally, only four stages were planned. However, following the updated plan, the Classic content will now be released in six phases:
- Phase 1 (Release): Molten Core, Onyxia, Maraudon
- Phase 2: Dire Maul, Azuregos, Kazzak
- Phase 3: Blackwing Lair, Darkmoon Faire, Darkmoon Cards
- Phase 4: Zul’Gurub, Green Dragons
- Phase 5: Ahn’Qiraj and some adjustments to dungeon loot
- Phase 6: Naxxramas, Scourge invasions
There is currently no specific timeline for when each phase will begin.
What does the new sequence mean? With the new plan, the order of releases is intended to make more sense. According to Toschayju, this prevents players with gear and enchantments from Zul’Gurub from tackling Blackwing Lair.
At the same time, the order ensures that players can better prepare for Ahn’Qiraj with specific loot from the Emerald Dragons. The steadily incoming content is meant to provide players with something to do on a continuous basis.
