Undoubtedly, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is one of the best and most well-known players in League of Legends. Developer Riot Games has now paid tribute to him.
This special action will be immortalized: For many, Faker is considered the best player that League of Legends has ever had. He repeatedly demonstrates how remarkably high his skill level is in the MOBA during tournaments.
In 2013, he achieved a grand outplay against the player Ryu Sang-wook, in a mirror match between Zed and Zed.
The commentator Erik DoA Lonnquist became noticeably excited: “Look at the cleanse, look at the moves! Faker, WHAT WAS THAT?” The word cleanse refers to a summoner spell that Faker used.
How does LoL now honor this action? The character Zed, whom Faker plays during his big moment in 2013, now receives a new skin: Galaxy Slayer Zed.
This is a very special skin, as it also has new voicelines. An acoustic interaction is particularly attention-grabbing. Namely, when Zed kills another Zed in the game.
“Look at the skill, look at the moves. Zed, what was that?” says the character in the game. A clear reference to the incredible play and the associated comment from caster DoA.

Riot regularly shows that they are close to the community and their players. So too with this nasty April Fool’s joke against two of the biggest LoL streamers.
When will the skin come to the shop? The Galaxy Slayer skin for Zed is part of Patch 9.8 and should appear on the servers within the next 2 weeks. The price is expected to be around 1,820 RP.
