For the 10th anniversary of Minecraft, a very special map has been released. Those who enjoy reminiscing will be happy here.
The release of Minecraft was nearly 10 years ago. This is an occasion for Mojang and Microsoft to celebrate the game and the associated success of the “block worlds” appropriately. They do this in the form of a special Minecraft map created by the creative minds at BlockWorks, which contains pretty much every detail there is to know about Minecraft.
What can be seen on the map? The map is designed like a huge museum through which you are guided piece by piece. First, there is a little ride through the various patches and their highlights. Then you enter the main complex and can visit different areas of the map from there. From crazy redstone devices to beautiful futuristic houses, there is pretty much everything to see.
Even after several hours, you will still not have seen everything on the map. Additionally, there are numerous secrets, such as small puzzles or hidden switches that open additional areas.
Some have a very special story in Minecraft: Like this hardcore run that ended after 5 years.
Who is the map suitable for? Those who want to see how Minecraft has changed and evolved over a decade will be happy on this map.
The map also serves as a source of inspiration. It provides a nice impression of what is possible in Minecraft with enough perseverance and creativity. Those looking for ideas and fresh impulses will surely find joy with the “Anniversary Map” and discover some secrets that excite them.
How to play the map yourself: To play the map yourself, you need to download the map here, extract it, and then copy it into the “saves” folder in your .minecraft directory. Typically, you can find this under the path:
C:Users[Username]AppDataRoaming.minecraftsaves
After that, you can start Minecraft and simply open and load the world as usual to view the museum. This applies to the Java version of the game.
However, if you play Minecraft on Xbox One, Windows 10 Edition, iOS, Android, or Nintendo Switch, you can download the maps for free from the Minecraft Marketplace.
Have you already checked out the map? Did you find details and secrets that others might have missed?
