The YouTube streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop has recently refrained from playing Fortnite. But the changes of the last few weeks seem to give him hope again. He explains why he is looking forward to Season 3.
This is the former Fortnite streamer: Jack “CouRage” Dunlop is a YouTube streamer who was also the caster of the Fortnite World Championship 2019. But he had turned away from Fortnite.
The most compelling reason why the streamer didn’t want to play the game anymore was the skill-based matchmaking that Fortnite had introduced. It was simply too stressful and exhausting for him to fight against strong players.
Fortnite is making a turn
What does CouRage think of Fortnite now? His opinion on the game seems to have changed now, and it seems that the professional is filled with hope for the next season.
In a tweet, the streamer listed what changes Fortnite has made in recent weeks:
Among others, these changes include:
- Nerf of the Heavy Sniper that many players wished for
- Better communication from Epic on Reddit
- More transparency regarding decisions
- The removal of skill-based matchmaking
Especially the last point is likely to please the streamer, as that is exactly what bothered him about Fortnite. After all these changes, he has just one thing to say:
“Oh my God. Fortnite is making a turn”
He seems to believe that Fortnite will get back on track. So it might become as fun as he remembers it before he turned his back on the game.
The fact that Epic listens to players’ wishes and makes changes, communicates, and explains decisions seems to give the streamer hope that Season 3 could really be great.
Maybe he will return for the next Season 3 and stream more Fortnite again?
This is how other streamers see it: With this opinion, the YouTube streamer is not alone. The Twitch streamer Ali “SypherPK” Hassan seems to be looking forward to Season 3 immensely after these changes.
He writes in response to CouRage’s tweet:
Not without reason did SypherPK create a video in which he explains for 30 minutes what Fortnite needs to change in Season 3 to become as fun as it was in earlier times. Most of these changes that Epic has implemented in recent weeks, he had listed in his video.
For this video, he received great support from professional Ninja, who also explained what Fortnite needs to change in order for players to return.
