Pokémon is the biggest franchise in the world and incredibly successful in many ways. Be it games, cards, or other merchandise: buyers are always found. Their latest brainchild is a teapot that will be available for purchase in Japan at the end of April.
What does the teapot look like? The teapot looks like the iconic duck Pokémon Psyduck. It shines in sunny yellow and is made of porcelain.
The top part of the pot is Psyduck’s head, while when pouring tea, it looks like it is coming from its beak. It comes with a stainless steel tea strainer.
The pot is handmade and made of precious Minoyaki. Minoyaki comes from Gifu Prefecture in Japan, which makes up 50% of ceramic items from Japan.
When you make tea in the pot, 2 people can be served with one brew.
Pokémon teapot in Psyduck design costs over 100 Euros
How much does the pot cost? Due to the handcrafted nature and quality, the teapot costs a whopping 13,200 yen, which is approximately 105.86 euros.
When and where can you buy the pot? Since March 4th, you can preorder the teapot in the shop of Ensky. The pot will then be shipped to you in April.
This is Psyduck: Psyduck is a Water-type Pokémon – quite fitting that the tea comes from its beak, like the move Water Gun. It has been around since the first generation and has also played a recurring role in the early seasons of the anime.
It is known for being a bit dim-witted and constantly having headaches. However, these headaches trigger unexpected psychic powers that can really heat things up for the opponent.
