Blizzard has talked about the future of World of Warcraft: Patch 8.2. In this, Tauren and Gnomes will receive their heritage armor!
At BlizzCon 2018, there was a lot of information about the future of World of Warcraft. Although Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance is not even out yet, the developers were already talking about Patch 8.2 “Rise of Azshara”. Especially fans of Gnomes and Tauren should be excited, as they will be gifted their heritage armors in Patch 8.2!
The heritage armor of the Gnomes: Gnomes are tinkerers and technicians through and through. There is no Gnome who doesn’t like to tinker or experiment. This is also reflected in their heritage armor. A protective outfit with numerous pockets, belts, and small gadgets. Especially cool: There is an engineering goggles that is worn not directly over the eyes, but on the forehead, as if it has been flipped up.
The heritage armor of the Tauren: Tauren are rather shamanistic and have a deep connection to their environment. No wonder, therefore, that the name “Tauren” is also an anagram of “Nature”. Their heritage armor appears primitive and spiritual, along with a thick totem on their back – whether this is part of the armor remains to be seen.
A release date for Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara has not yet been announced. However, we do not expect a release before April 2019.
More heritage armors for other races are expected to appear in the following patches. Blizzard will likely continue this until all old races have their own heritage armor.
